I've given it some thought: What is the minimum sentence GZ could serve? Say if he is found guilty but they don't feel it was murder. Can they give a lighter sentence?
I believe the jury instructions allow for a conviction of manslaughter. The judge ultimately hands down sentencing based on the charge he's convicted of.

I gave you a link and several paragraphs which showed that all of his accounts had been hacked , dates can be changed thusly. Sorry but I didn't see the post you refer to or didn't read it in totality.:seeya:

I guess you've never heard of cached results? Nobody hacked this kid's account. That venom wall all him.

Does this look like Iced Tea to you?

In his testimony, Noffke said he didn’t order Zimmerman to stop. Dispatchers don’t issue such orders because of liability issues, he said.

How do you know he does not have an ounce of remorse? You are not George and neither am I and neither is anyone else.

I believe the exact quote was: "You don't need to do that" (follow TM). Guess that's subject to interpretation/sarc.

As to remorse - I don't see it. I recall GZ expressing sympathy to the family 'for the loss of their son'; but never heard him say anything about having regrets or sorrow for pulling the trigger that killed their son. And having the brother of GZ doing interviews on national TV doesn't help the situation. What a pompous jerk!

He did not. He said "We don't need you to do that." He even said under oath that he did not tell him to stop, and that they could not because of liability reasons.

and the gm agreed - said ok - don't you think if gz said no i am gonna follow him and get the dispatcher might have expanded his directions>???

Interview of Zimmerman with Singleton and Serino

Well, no. I believe his accounts were hacked even though the only source for this was 4chan and Gawker (which screams reliable /sarcasm).

The thing is that the Daily Caller hired an agency to go back and look at web caches to pull his tweets. If anyone recalls, his accounts were shut down shortly after the protests started. The agency the DC hired did exactly what you've suggested - went back using the Internet Archive or some other such source and pulled up his tweets. In fact, anyone that wants to do so probably still can. I know I did when it was first reported last year.

Her understanding of standard English is only hampered, imo, by her low intelligence. What she's speaking is a version of English commonly known as "ghetto slang." Combined with just not being very bright, it isn't surprising that she is hard to comprehend or that she has trouble understanding simple questions posed by the defense.
I'm hesitant to get into this too much because we don't know if she has learning disabilities or other challenges, but I agree that her communication skills are lacking and her apparent disinterest or perhaps unavailable social skills and respect for official situations are adding to her difficulties.

and every one keeps saying that racheal is a liar and cannot be believed because she lied to tm's mom saying she was sick and couldn't go to the wake - but what about gz lying in court about his money so he wouldn't have to pay bail, or how in the renactment gz said tm talked and moved after he was shot which was impossible????

I see Rachel as far more honest than some of the other people in that court room. Rachel wanted to stay in the background and not get involved because she rightly understood that there would be those who would make fun of her because of her speech, weight, color and much more. Ohh how right she was!!
I do wish she hadn't made anything up..but what she made up was quite diferent than lying to the court and forcing your spouce to do it as well. :moo:
I believe it was GZ's bizarre imagination and fabricating that got him in all this serious trouble from Day 1.

I believe the jury instructions allow for a conviction of manslaughter. The judge ultimately hands down sentencing based on the charge he's convicted of.

Fortunately, they also provide for an acquittal based on self defense. I swear, I haven't seen a lynch mob mentality like this one that simply refuses to accept facts since I don't know when. I started out with an open mind but the kinds of comments I've read here by others, the blatant lies in the media and the dishonesty that's come from the family, I am rooting for a full on acquittal now.

When GZ first picked up the trail of Trayvon, he must have noticed that Trayvon was talking on his cell and carrying a bag of Skittles with a can of iced tea. Does this sound like the night stalker or a cat burglar??? GZ was a trigger-happy wannabe cop - pure and simple. Since he insisted on disobeying orders to stop following TM, he should have at least identified himself as 'neighborhood watch', and the entire incident would have blown over. He could have been non-confrontational by just telling TM that there had been several burglaries over the last few weeks, and he was just doing his job. Asking a young black man 'what are you doing here' or 'where are you going' is an invitation for trouble in today's racially divided society. Sadly, I doubt that GZ has one ounce of remorse over this tragic event - he doesn't get it!

actually, it's not pure and simple. none of us were there that night and the defense hasn't presented it's case yet.

that would be manslaughter and irrc minimum is 9 years

what does that have anything to do with what he is charged with?

Read: http://articles.orlandosentinel.com..._1_trayvon-martin-george-zimmerman-blood-loss (answer to my bolded second question)

The 17-year-old survived for several minutes, according to two experts who reviewed Trayvon's autopsy for the Orlando Sentinel.

"You're talking about minutes, at least, for him to survive," said Dr. William Anderson, a forensic specialist and former deputy medical examiner for Orange and Osceola counties. "I think he would have been conscious … for a little time, anyway."

The Miami Gardens teenager would have remained alive for a few minutes, both doctors agreed, as his wounded heart continued to pump.

One piece of evidence that Trayvon did not die instantly, both doctors said, was the color of his fingernails.

I guess I am surprised that anyone would think that comparing an international celebrity to the common man is a good argument.

But you did, so I guess..."you got me".
Some black males will call 911 and I can say this because I have black friends who have, but in THIS case, I sincerely doubt Trayvon would have, given his recent difficulties at school and with LE back in Miami.

This is important because the media since day 1 have been spreading misinformation about this entire case.

It has been widely reported that he went to the store to get Arizona Iced Tea When it in fact is actually the Watermelon Fruit Juice drink that he got.

http://www.hlntv.com/article/2012/03/22/skittles-speak-out-trayvon-martin-deeply-saddened

(look at the HLN headline)

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com..._1_miami-schools-punch-unarmed-black-teenager

Trayvon was an unarmed black teenager who had committed no crime, they say, who was gunned down while walking back from a 7-Eleven with nothing more sinister than a package of Skittles and can of Arizona iced tea.

BUT it was an Arizona Brand Watermelon Fruit Drink.
So whenever someone refers to it as either, it could partially be right.
Either way, it is not really an important factor. If it in some way changed the way it played into evidence, yes, but it doesn't.
The weight of it would be the same whether it was Iced Tea, Juice, Beer, Soda or Dog Pee. (When it is referred to in reference to it pulling his hoodie away from the body).
Can we all agree to just say AZdrink or something so it doesn't have to keep being clarified?

ETA- YES, the media gets it wrong. If this was the worst thing they got wrong it would be a much better world. We can't let the minute details drag us down when they won't affect the outcome.
