Bumping case up.

The locaton of her car four days after her disappearance is somewhat suspicious. A lot of questions would be generated:

Was the car anywhere near her home, or even somewhere along the route?

Whose fingerprints were found on the car?

Why the four day delay? Was the car placed there, or was she in an accident while driving it?

Does anyone have any more information about this case?

This case seems like a Christopher Wilder connection. Time, circumstance, and location. ny thoughts?

I wondered if the could be the Crescent beach body as that woman appears to have been in an accident. Altgough Robyn is on the younger end of the estimate .

-- ROBYN ADLER, 22, of Tamarac. Adler had visited her boyfriend in Loxahatchee on May 25, 1983, the last day she was seen. Her car, a red Toyota, was found on a dirt road in the north end of Royal Palm Beach, smack against an Australian pine, alongside a canal.

:bump: Has anyone located a possible clearer picture of Robyn i.e. high school ? Are there any news articles out there on this case anyone has come across ?

Great find, folieadeuxnola!! The unidentified body from Lake Ponchartrain bears an uncanny resemblance and all the details fit, with the exception of the fact that she was killed days before she was found in 1986. I suppose it's possible that she could've been held captive for approximately 3 years before being killed. Perhaps all of the previous healed injuries and scars are due to some form of long term torture or abuse, though I sincerely hope that isn't the case!! Thoughts, anyone?

Also, it states that the victim in Lake Ponchartrain was pregnant. Going off the theory that she was held captive for the years in between the time she went missing and the time the body was found in Lake Ponchartrain, perhaps her captor killed her after learning of her pregnancy, knowing that she wouldn't be able to be taken to an abortion clinic and wouldn't be able to really care for a child as a his captive victim. Perhaps he panicked? This theory reminds me a little of the movie 'Room'! If you haven't seen it, you definitely should!

"She was really lost. She or whoever was driving the car just went off the end of the road and hit this tree on the canal bank," Neighbors said. "There are no signs in the car that she was seriously injured and we have not found her in the canal." Neighbors said that on the night of May 19 Miss Adler, who lives with her father, was supposed to meet some friends at the Bennigan's lounge in Tamarac but never arrived. The car, which belongs to her father, was found by a Loxahatchee resident Wednesday. Miss Adler is about 5-foot-4, the detective said, and weighs about 110. She has brown hair and blue eyes, and left her home wearing blue jeans and a shirt of unknown color.

Have to wonder what time Robyn arrived at her boyfriends home and what time she left. If she was going that evening to meet friends had she mentioned anything to them about going to see someone or something on C Road. Where did the directions come from, just guessing did she receive them that day while at her boyfriends? Obviously she was going to an area that she did not know well was it a set up of sorts ? There is a lot of missing information in her case have yet to find out much more other than she was driving her father's car.
