seems like Ronald was transferred here too; just before he went to court for the custody on the unk child (to us WS) - remember when they were moving him around for awhile too?

Out here, when an inmate goes to the hospital or court, his bed is not saved. If facility is full when recovered or court is over he will be shipped where there is a bed. It appears that Florida sends them back to reception for this..

We are so overcrowded out here that there are virtually no empty beds...lol. It is a revolving door. When one goes to court, it is filled immediately. They just keep rotating.

I read that about 10,000 to be released by the end of the year due to overcrowding & the state of emergency filed was turned down by the feds. Great...

our prisons need to be expanded & programs utilizing the skill/expertise of prisoners further investigated. Just finished watching a documentary on the Unibomber and was thinking it is such a waste for a brilliant mind such as his to be wasted; wondering how he could be better utilized. Americans support these prisoners as long as they "exist" and I feel we should get more rewards for out money being spent. There is absolutely no reason for these facilities to not be self-sufficient (JMO) and/or money making entities. As I recall, the Iowa institutions produce license plates. Why can't they build cars, make clothes, grow vegetables, make greeting cards/stationery (hey as a former letter carrier-some inmates are pretty good artists!)? I am sure there are many other things they can do for us. I really love the idea of our county inmates picking up trash in my area of town! IMO, prisoners/inmates can be productive and less of a burden on society if properly administered/supervised programs are put in place.
It is indeed a pity for the overcrowding situation, but I feel releasing into society for that purpose is not the answer, and does little to deter crime. Build more prisons and make them more self sufficient is the answer to me. :twocents:
oh yea, let's put solar energy and wind power to use in generating energy for these facilities too!

Bleeding Hearts have been complaining about the x3 strikes law and "Feel" it is just not fair. Despite the fact that crime dropped significantly when they were being locked up. Their hearts just can't stand them being locked up.

People who think it is so unfair should be made to walk down a cell block not escorted and see how they "feel" then. The first time they get urine or feces in their face, they may sing a different song. :jail:

There aren't that many that care to work. Those that do do exactly what you suggested but the majority locked up are screwballs. Sociopathy runs rampant and they don't feel they should have to work. Social workers are hired to help them fill out their disability apps so they are ahead of thgame when they parole. The system is a mess due to the type of people incarcerated. The public has no idea what life inside is really like and what these inmates can do to you. It is a system designed to control. Ca does a pretty good job attempting education and some vocational skills but not many have the ability, drive or intelligence to finish school and apply what they have learned. I've seen a few, very few finish the training.

Happy 10th birthday to Haleigh.
Did you know that Teresa was in K-Mart recently asking them to donate little girls' underwear?

Just checking in to see if there's any news. Still blows my mind that somebody hasn't snitched.

Checking on Haleigh.
I'm not surprized no one has spilled, I'm more surprized that none of this group slipped up accidently. I figured someone would've gone to Haleigh's final burial spot & been seen. Or gotten a lil to messed up & start babbling. Well I guess both could've happened but the right people did'nt hear or see the slip up. Ppffftt did'nt tn say ron was going somewhere to "think" about Haleigh or something.
Amazing how thinking about these people this many years later still makes me crazy w/ anger for the half *advertiser censored*'d searching & fake crying, oh & misty's smug ignorance when they got married. Oh I wish I could've been there when a week after the wedding, ron &/or tn tell misty that the marriage will not last & he only did it to keep him out of jail. I wonder why that did'nt shake misty to the boots, make her so embarrased she did'nt spill? Well.. I guess low self esteem & all that plus even if she was'nt the direct perp she played enough of a roll that she's afraid of what they would blame on her. Imo

You know, we've all been here long enough that I am contnually surprized when I jump on to check on a case & bam! there's some development or discovery. It will happen for Haleigh. Something will shed light on her one day.

& I'm sorry but why is tn asking for girl's underwear donations? In Haleigh's name or for another grandchild?

As long as Misty has hope and the belief she and RC will re-unite ... I don't expect her to talk. However, he will be released before her and when he enters into another relationship and/or has children .... well, I suspect it will be then that she realizes she has been used and manipulated.
:crystalball:

It is then that she will write her book detailing every little detail. I suspect the last chapter could be the ultimate revenge at that point; RC goes back to prison and she walks out a free woman ... free and rich.

(25 years is a long time to grow up, gather one's thoughts, and put a puzzle together. When one is outside the box looking in, things tend to appear a tad bit different. JMO) :waiting:

B4igo2it, I often have hope that misty was'nt a direct perp to what happened to Haleigh so that she can be free to tell all. I guess we'll see in 20 something years. Imo this will be the only way we'll know what happened cause I dont't think tn or rc are gonna be writing much worth reading. 101 ways for mother to cover your crimes?? Hahah

Misty was just a Borderline in the making when all this went down.

It's sad that a long career that we know is not a cake walk job, gone. I wonder how aggressive/threatening the texts were to illicit this kind of response. I doubt they were just annoying.

Now if only there was, umm let's say an investigation from uumm let's say 4 yrs ago, that could provide some insight to a "disappeared" girl from Patalka.

I was watching something on tv the other day and it was talking about Stockholm Syndrome. I was amazed as they outlined the 4 criteria for achieving this in victims. 1. Traumatic experience or something similiar. 2. isolation 3. indoctrination 4. reward.

I got chills. I know most of us believe Misty is no saint but this pretty much describes her walk with the Cummings after Haleigh was missing. I speculate that she was sent to babysit a dead child. Following the 911 call she disappeared only to be whisked away by the Cummings to keep her 'safe'. I don't think any of us disagree that there was lots of influence on her and pressure to protect Ronald and finally the wedding was the pay-off.

Interesting if Teresa was buying underwear for children......I don't think it would be Haleigh...back to school program they do maybe.

Gwen, if my memory serves me correctly, I thought I read where Crystal Sheffield was living with GGS and TN and had Jr and her little daughter, Cloe, living with them. Could have TN been by underwear for Cloe? Just wondering here, but to tell you the truth anything TN does I find suspicious.

I am unaware where Crystal is living. Those things don't make the boards anymore. They moved out without notice and left Teresa steaming was the last I heard.

As to the underwear, the fact that she wanted them to 'donate' them makes me ill. There is no bottom to the absolute entitlement she feels and she is not a bit ashamed to ask anyone for anything. No sense of pride or esteem I suppose. Sickens me. Of course, I would starve before I asked anyone for a cent I guess. Just alien to me how someone can not only take advantage but be bold enough to ask for everything for free. SMH
