This is so sad for boy and mum and dangerous but it also might be a start to a clue about criminally violent behavior and how some can't help themselves. Only a handful have been diagnosed and it was only discovered in the last few years.

Doctors have said that Max Blakely, four, acts irrationally and violently against his will because of a one-in-a-million chromosome defect that they identify as '2p16.3 microdeletion'.

A spokesperson for rare chromosome charity Unique said: 'A 2p16.3 microdeletion is an extremely rare genetic condition.

'Only in the last few years, due to advances in technology, has it been possible to detect and diagnose this disorder.'

Although symptoms can vary, Max displayed some obvious indications in his early development that he had the defect.

The four-year-old was slow to sit up on his own after he was born and took longer than the average child to learn to walk.

He also did not talk until 12 months ago.

Extreme sarcasm. If tests were done to diagnose a "chromosome defect" the labs/universities that did the test would be mentioned.

The "warrior gene" is far more well known and yeah it is associated with violent behavior.

It sounds like a new diagnoses and most experts are hesitant to give an opinion until they have done substantial research. I'm glad to hear some other diagnoses other than video games and tv. Children have been violent long before there even was tv and video games. Just look at what the bible says what happened to Cane and Able.

There has only been a handful of kids with many different conditions.
That doesn't mean they don't exist, it means they are very rare. :twocents:
