I believe the jury isn't supposed to know she's in jail because it implies that she committed a crime. She hasn't been convicted of any crime, so it is not fair to the defendant to have that implication in the jury's mind. With that said, given the many barely cryptic remarks about her living...

No, the headshot was taken after the sitting-at-the-bottom-of-the-shower picture. It was the last photo taken before his murder. The following pictures were the accidental ones.

Actually, the gun she used to kill TA would have incapacitated him immediately. The ME very clearly explained why during his testimony. TA was shot AFTER he was stabbed, not before.
