I think Isa will be a tougher case because of the time it took to find her. I also think the way the media, the cops, and a lot of people on this very site hurt the case by dragging the Celis family through the dirt, often in extremely racist ways, will have a lasting effect. Sadly, I think the...
Here's a link to a thread with all of the coverage from the local Tucson daily newspaper. I can't read the articles, though. They're behind a paywall. Out-of-towners who don't regularly visit the Arizona Daily Star's website might have luck getting a few articles, at least.
Caitlin Schmidt of the Arizona Daily Star will be covering the trial. She covered the case before, but she's been moved around to several different areas at the Star so I didn't know if she would still be doing so.
Caitlin's tweet about the trial
This dude is going to drag this out forever, isn't he? By the time the trial for Isa's murder starts, she will have been dead for a decade and a few weeks. Maribel just a couple of months short of 8 years. I can't imagine what the Gonzales and Celis families are going through.
I see that...
Sorry, I have been offline for a bit. They don't usually report on status hearings in our local news, so there's nothing in the press about that. I assume it happened, though, since those hearings are basically check-ins with the lawyers to see how things are going. Since the June evidentiary...

The decision had been put off twice, but the Pima County Attorney made it official on Friday that her office would seek the death penalty.
The judge told Clements' attorneys to get in gear as far as objecting to pre-trial tests, including IQ tests, that she has ordered because "we don't take 5...
I put this in Isabel's thread but it belongs here, too. Officially a death penalty case.
Man accused of killing 2 Tucson girls to face death penalty | Crime-and-courts | tucson.com
Absolutely. I am local and live very near both Freedom Park and the home where Isa was abducted, so I am following it pretty closely. I am crossing my fingers that this becomes a death penalty case come January.
This article from the local NBC affiliate is the only recent article I found on Twitter. It says nothing at all. I will ask Caitlin Schmidt later today and see if she knows what's up. She covers the courts for the Arizona Daily Star.
Man accused in killing of Tucson girls to appear in court Monday
Don't see any reason it wouldn't run for four hours without running out of fuel. It's not taxing the engine very much. I have driven for 8+ hours without needing fuel. Just sitting there idling isn't going to use so much that the truck would stop running.
When I visited Arcata and Eureka back...
