Remains Confirmed to Belong to A Missing Wayne County Man
The bones weren't on any route between either of those places and his home.
I wonder if this could have been some kind of vengeance for whatever put him on the sex-offender registry. And I wonder if the fact that he was listed...

I don't think I'm having the same trouble that the people posting here have, but I'm not sure where else to look and one of the main words involved is the same. I've looked all over at the discussion of rules, terms, etc on here and have searched on the "regular" internet with no real luck...
I basically understand the basic details about what happened with her disappearance and how things have gone up until now. I "understand" the mistaken announcement about her being located, except there is something that I REALLY do not understand - which is why there is even still a case today...
I posted about these remains on a different thread before there was a NamUS (just local news).
They are somewhat near property relatives of a suspect in Crystal Rogers' disappearance, which was the main focus for the news, but they aren't her. They were found near the Beech Fork (the...
Since the mother is classified as "missing" on NamUS, do they think that someone did something to both of them or has the statutes of limitations run out?
(Michelle was born the same year I was and - I try not to think about it - but I have classmates with grandchildren now)
I don't know anything new about this case, but some skeletal remains found in the same county were ID'ed and apparently the Coopersville strip mine exists and GPS is screwed up for the area...
(that is literally the whole Z93-radio story - when I clicked on the story, it was just that sentence...
Probably Jerry Rainwater?
I think this must be the same remains even though there is a discrepancy of the month (July/August). They're not too far apart and I doubt many "partial skeletal remains" are found on Edwards Mountain very often. There is a story in the Somerset paper...
Nothing new. They're still unidentified. The mother and some other relatives coincidentally have some pretty common surnames and I'd heard of people with both names the same. So I was sure my mother of her brother probably knew them from school - but they moved to the area and would have...
Some areas are covered better than others, but Historic Aerials has old aerial pics and old topo maps. The easiest way to use it is to look up a location (i.e. Wayne County or Monticello) on Wikipedia and there is "Coordinates" with some numbers at the top of the article (a little under the...
I couldn't find any kind of mines near Coopersville on any of the maps that I looked (looked at old topo and aerial pics). But there were several cliffs like you mentioned. Or at least no mines were marked and I didn't see any "... Mine Road" in the area. There was a lot of "disturbed" ground...
Someone who posted on one Louisville TV station's stories about her claimed this to be one of the most drug-filled in the city. That set me off because it's rude and just doesn't matter. Drugs are everywhere and I'm sure that they were trying to say that her disappearance shouldn't bother...
I'll have to ask her tomorrow, but it looks like my mom should know his family. From FB (where I saw that we had mutual friends), I thought his family was from Chicago. "His mother" (if we accept that it was an alias) lived in Chicago and was born in E-KY. But most of her siblings lived...
