To me, it seems they may have drawn this sketch from a picture of an actual suspect and releasing it to view how he reacts to it.
When I heard they were releasing a sketch, I felt discouraged, but this could be something different than seeking tips.
I've thought it was possible that he was lurking off the North end of the bridge waiting for them to come back across to meet their ride (especially if he knew in advance that they were meeting their ride at the same place they were dropped off). I've thought it was possible that he wasn't...
Thank you for the pictures, they really help give perspective.
Question about the lower trail- If they took the lower trail down to the creek, wouldn't they have to cross through the creek to get to the area they were found? That bank to the north east or the bridge/creek appears to be like a...
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I had a thought on the voice clip that has been distributed. Years ago, I read a book by John Douglas and one chapter focused on the trailside killer case in San Francisco and the profile that included that the killer would have a speech impediment...
On FBI's involvement before it was a known murder-
I have wondered about what triggered their involvement so early. I wondered if they had evidence on the night of 13th that indicated that it was going to be bad or that had something that matched an MO that the FBI was already familiar with...
Thank you for posting. That gave me a little more insight as to where they were found. It is a flat area at the creek. I put a red line to give an idea of 50' and blue for 100' from the edge. They are rough guesses, but offer perspective.
The black arrow is the direction that I believe...
Thank you!
Thanks, Hatfield. I'll take a look again.

That raised the hair on my neck.
In addition to my feeling that he knows the area, I feel like he came prepared to commit the crime. I don't think they ever had the chance to run. I don't think he would have risked them trying to run...
The shadowing and sunlight on him show that the sun is shining from his right(i'm in too big of a hurry and need sleep as I originally posted left). Since it is afternoon sun, it should indicate that he is moving North to South with the sunlight on his right/west.
agree on basically where the photo was taken-
The bridge is reportedly 853' long. At the estimated location, Abby appears to be ~275 from the North end and what would about about 575' from the South end.

Right, so that makes me wonder if it were just luck that he happened to choose to take them to the North side of the creek, upstream, or did he know that that area was the most secluded, with no trails through or houses nearby? For me the area is in quadrants separated by the bridge and...
Thank you. I spend a lot of time looking at land for best ingress/egress, storm drainage, paths of travel, sight lines, etc. for work and that is why this case got my attention so quickly. This took place in a very dynamic location that immediately grabbed my attention as being incredibly bold...
The black perforated line is where I just don't think it is possible for most any vehicle to go based on topography. From the beginning, I've felt there is a strong possibility that he could have parked a car in the southwest corner of the cemetery in the trees. Nobody pays too much attention...
