Regarding lack of food.. I think this shows that he didn't plan in advance. I said from the beginning that I don't think he would have taken her out in public to the store, if f he planned in advance. He would have had what they needed. His trip seemed so random - little food, lots of TP, like...

I think I missed something - the DA said that additional charges ARE NOT coming? Where was this reported? Thanks! And I've never heard of charges NOT being added, to protect the privacy of the victim. Would that really be done? His original charge has a max of 60 years - time served can be a...

I dont' think I've seen this posted here yet. Video interview of couple to whose house Carlie was taken immediately after she was found...

Yes, I considered that, but the way it was worded, it didn't sound like she was asked, but just offered that info. I could see the family not wanting to answer a question, or even lying....but to come out and say they have no idea why (on their own), seemed more confirming.

True, but I don't think the family would have had the $ even if it had been 1/2 or a 1/4 that. That's a pretty high bond. There appears to be some concern about suicide. That could be another reason to set it so high - to ensure he can't get out. They want him tried and convicted and most...

Yes, the high bond is pretty telling. As much as (to me), her family saying they still don't know why he took her points to him not having abused her, there has to be SOMETHING for them to st the bond that high!

I think this is entirely possible, but if so, I would imagine there had been SOMETHING done up to that point. I'd think she'd be able to shed some light on how he has acted and reacted around her, in order to assume that was going to be his birthday present. If he hadn't planned to do anything...

It certainly makes sense to me. For the family to report that they have no idea why he took her at this stage, tells me that they haven't uncovered a motive.

I think this is very interesting information. Carlie's dad would have the right to her medical reports and should have been told if there had been any molestation suspected. On a young girl, that would likely be noted upon physical exam, without having to wait for lab results. Police also cannot...

I suspect that GS's intentions weren't good, and I would hope there'd be no "I told you sos" b/c at the end of the day, is it really that important to have been "right"? However, I also respect that idea that we really don't know what happened. Just as there are people who are passionate about...

Do we know for sure that she's been there overnight? I'm also not sure that she would have been fully interviewed by now. My friend is an RN, specializing in women's health and an activist for rape victims. She's the first one called in. She says that they don't even allow police in the room of...

. or Yes, it was corrected from Carpenter to Franklin. Franklin apparently held the gone, while Lawson went to call 911. What's unclear however, is whether Lawson and Franklin were a part of an original 4 party search team, or if one or both were the property owners, who were approached by...

The reporting is unclear. It's been corrected that Carpenter wasn't the guy who held GS at gunpoint, yet I believe he's the only one who's been interviewed on camera. I think he was one who partook in the searches, but he wasn't one of the two who actually came upon GS and CT. It's unclear to me...

Yes, and it makes me wonder why the public wasn't privy to the info about the direction GS went. It's great that they were given that break, but perhaps if more people had been as well, she could have been found sooner?

For what it's worth, I wasn't defending him. I thought surely his motive was to harm her, once it was mentioned that he has a history. But then when I read the article that said she was OK, I assumed it was posted AFTER she'd been examined. At that point, I thought it was odd that he'd go 9 days...
