The sad part (or maybe the best part) about all this is that if she had just come clean about everything sometime in the period between they knew LE had some serious evidence against them and the point FD un-alived himself, she probably would have already served her sentence and been released...
Lived in SA for 25 years, so here is my hot take:
I don't think this had anything to do SS's brother's death or trial. These types don't bide their time waiting for some perfect moment to inflict the most damage - they just do it when the opportunity arises.
And I think it's kind of obvious...
I'm going to guess the trust was just a common method to eliminate/defer taxes due upon death.
For instance, My dad is wealthy and has several trusts set up. The main one deals with how the bulk of his assets are distributed on his death. At probate, that trust is split into 3 trusts - one...
I would honestly be more apt to believe AM's testimony if he blamed some big-bad drug lord that he neglected to pay for the murders, rather than revenge for Pau-Pau's boating accident. But alas, it seems the drug dealers were the ONLY people getting paid by AM.
I feel the same way and I can't believe whatever it was has not been disclosed yet. Let's say his so-called opioid addiction was costing him $1000/day (which would literally kill anyone even with a sky-high tolerance). That's $365,000/year which is not all that much compared to his salary +...
Thoughts and questions from a local:
Her intention at the point she got dressed was to go the the office. It's hotter than heck right now and there's no way she would dress that way to do anything but go to work. Did something happen between the point she got dressed and the time she walked out...
Local to me. No bad weather or rain since the 5th. San Antonio is very flood-prone so lots of drainage areas that can turn into raging rivers during periods of high rain but all are dry right now as we are in a drought. Only one way in/out of her neighborhood which coincidentally has a bridge...
Wow - if she had refrained from grifting additional money from the Victims Compensation Fund, they probably wouldn't have gone so far as to check the DNA.
Don't you know she loved playing the victim to that therapist and telling anyone that would listen to her that she had PTSD from the "ordeal".

Highly doubtful that police would go to the trouble of taking fingerprints if the only crime committed was joyriding. Police have little interest in "solving" low-value property crimes. The people that commit low-value property crimes generally know this.
Once the vehicle is torched - that...
This article says they chased them a short ways:
The three people drove off promptly in Anderson's car and the friends chased after them, going north through a dirt lot and over curbs. At one point, DS says that they thought the car was going to purposely back into them and that the three...
That's a possibility. But they did go to the effort to burn it, even after they knew people were out looking for the car and they had been spotted. Most joy-riders would just ditch it. It makes me think they were covering up a more heinous crime.
