A native of the Ohio Valley, I have lived all over Kentucky, south-central and mid- eastern Indiana and south-western Ohio. Mother of 2 grown sons, "mimi" of 3 grandsons and 1 new granddaughter (finally got my girl!) plus their half- and step-siblings, and a prematurely retired 25+ year LPN. My hobbies include genealogy, history, and research about anything that intrigues me. I love trying to piece together mysteries. I'm a bit of an arm-chair activist and defender of the forgotten and marginalized. Love and defend all animals except those of the wasp and roach families. Crazy cat lady. Oh, and I love local stock car racing, hiking, fishing, birding, and camping. Voracious reader. I was also a member of a local paranormal research group until it started causing too many scheduling conflicts with babysitting the grandchildren! I still do some of the historical research for some of their cases, though. If something could be debunked, I was usually the debunker!

Animals, history, genealogy, cooking, reading, health and anatomy studies, camping, hiking, fishing, boxing-fan, local stock car racing fan, civil rights, politically-active, research, paranormal research, herbal medicine and home remedies, gardening

"Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story..."
