Perhaps because the Sheriff is going after everyone who is involved in let's say, a drug running operation that perhaps CWW was also involved in. Sheriff may have uncovered a bigger web that he's trying to sweep down. I really don't see how the Sheriff is treating MS any different than anyone...

Good post, pferrin and your comment that was placed in bold by me, really does concern me. I think most likely, this is why the Sheriff's Dept. is keeping such a close watch on Dr. S's children, as was stated by Sheriff Scott in his last appearance on NG. Holding these precious girls in prayer...
I think as close as Dr.S seemed to be to her family, especially AL, they would see MS often enough to know that suddenly he was shorter. The children I think would know their "real" father or not, even if busy. Another point would be the voice. We don't know what the voice of MS or CWW...
