Holding back evidence really does make sense, otherwise the prosecution released could pollute the jury pool themselves. Plus, certain things lose their impact with repetition. Ideally, IMO, the evidence should nearly all be fresh information to the jury.
I agree. That sheath and DNA definitely puts him in the house that night. No way are they going to find anyone to testify that he was ever there for a party, since he wasn't. And, even if he is bold enough to get up there and testify that he went to a party there once and left a knife sheath...
I would love to know if BK came up with this alibi after all these months or did AT's team scrounge through all the data and find these random pictures he took in "November 2022" and grab at them like drowning people would grab a life preserver. They certainly know that pictures taken "in...
I keep thinking about SG's statement that BK was close enough to their house that his phone "found" their network. I don't recall if he said his phone actually tried to join their network, but I do remember the robust and educational discussion about wi-fi and how far away you can be and still...
That would worry me as well, if it was up to the jury to figure it out for themselves. I'm confident the prosecution's witness will explain this issue to them as if they were the proverbial 5 year old.
Thank goodness for the quote feature. The other thread closed while I researched and wrote all this. LOL
I agree with the technical portion of what you said about the cell phone, but I don't see it as a game change or an alibi IMO. I am not a nerd, although I dearly love nerdy stuff. I...
This just occurred to me: the document says a pistol magazine was found inside Kelley's purse, but no pistol. This could easily have been a spare magazine. My husband has his carry permit and is normally carrying. He doesn't carry a spare on him, but I know people who do.
That's fair. :)

I found this link to the CDC's directions for filling out a DC to be very educational. It appears that exsanguination might certainly be used, but things suggested in other posts, like "large fixed blade knife" and "deep tears to...
A term like decapitation, or exsanguination might be used if that was truly the primary cause of death, but I saw a post from someone else that suggested "large fixed blade knife" and "deep tears to soft tissue". I believe that would be strictly autopsy report material. It's important to...
Good afternoon. This is my first post on this case. Goodness, my eyes have been at the end of my nose all day, catching up. It's certainly possible it was a large vise, although some farriers have anvils on their trucks so they can heat and fit horseshoes on site. Our farrier used to do that...
I have read many many death certificates both following crime and being the family historian. They are notoriously brief and dry. I can think of a lot of distressing descriptors too, but I can't imagine any professional using them. Especially in such a brutal case, knowing the families will...
I supposed it's also possible that he chose the house rather than specific occupants of the house. Maybe he would sit and watch the parties. The house and occupants represented what he was not. Young, well-adjusted, living their best lives. Maybe he really didn't "know" any of them, but just...
The least affirmative thing I can ever remember a DT saying is to wait until all the facts come out. Plus, AT is not testifying. She's making a statement of feelings. Big deal. Unless something earth-shattering happened, no one would ever be able to prove that they didn't believe him to be...
Wow. That's not a survey. "Here is a list of things that might prejudice you against my client's client, so I'm going to make sure you hear about all of them." If this is a complete list of "question", then they apparently did not ask whether the person being surveyed had drawn any conclusions...
