Thanks - this is so helpful and does clear up many of the misconceptions about this case. Where the path was & the fact that it was in fact a dirt road used by cars and not simply a path behind your house is significant. Also the narrow window of time for the actual abduction to have occurred...

If I knew the address of the abduction I'd be able to help out with a description of the area at the time.

Wonder if this local person's name was ever revealed (to the proper people) and if he was ever checked out.

Wonder if the description of this person matches anyone who lived in Janice's neighborhood?

Does anyone know if this massive search also included house to house searches of the neighborhood that included actually going into the houses, garages and any out buildings?

Just wanted to sort of bump this post since Janice's sister gives the important info that the butterfly had been hidden a few days before. IMHO this makes a lying in wait type crime less likely and a crime of opportunity more likely. I also want to thank Janice's sister for posting. I can't...

I'm not sure that LE actually does think the crimes are related. I think the Dark Minds show was the first time all four of them have been linked. Previously, the only opinion I had seen on the matter was the ex-cop (also interviewed on the Dark Minds show) who had been on the Molly Bish case...

These are good questions. I'd really like to know about the butterfly too. I was also intrigued by how similar Stanger and Pouliet looked - especially if you are trying to judge by going off the sketch from the Bish case. The sketch could be either of them IMHO. I'm also not sure that all...

Totally agree. And I think that rage had been brewing for awhile and was just under the surface waiting for an excuse to explode.

I honestly think OP was surprised to be in court AT ALL. He was never held accountable before so why would he think he would be this time? I think he truly believed that his story would be swallowed whole and that he would be riding high in the public opinion from the huge boost of sympathy that...

This is exactly why OP should not be out on bail. Even thinking for an instant that it would be okay to return to the scene of the crime and talk to the neighbors and witnesses is insane. It's so vastly inappropriate it really reveals the extent of his controlling and narcissism.

I agree that avoiding the media is a decent reason to avoid having OP check in a police station. (However Casey Anthony managed to check in with her parole officer without ever getting "caught" so I'm sure there is SOME arrangement that could be made.) My concern however is that the police will...

Bankrupt Casey Anthony interviewed by KPHO CBS in Phoenix

Sorry but if her next meal depended on it she would merely move on to the next sucker willing to let her sponge off of them. Casey will never be gainfully employed. Not at anything legal anyway!

http://www.cnn.com/video/?hpt=hp_c4#/video/world/2013/03/06/ac-dnt-griffin-pistorius-dark-side.cnn I don't think this one has been posted before but in this video from CNN they say that now that OP is out of jail his bail conditions have changed from what they had been announced to be. Now OP...

Potential Suspects and Persons of Interest

Do you know how the MD victims were killed? Were they abducted? Were their bodies ever found? He certainly wasn't bothered by attacking a pair of girls but the MO there seems too different from what happened to the Lyons sisters.
