    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 2nd July - Trial Day 14, Week 3

Good question! It's more the social media stuff that would be an issue IMO. Mainstream media are usually pretty aware of what they can legally publish. Plus, it's easy enough to avoid watching the news or reading the papers for a few days. But it's not so easy to avoid social media when it has...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 1st July - Trial Day 13, Week 3

My comments have been misunderstood I think. I was meaning the morning she was missing there should have been evidence, especially in the car, of GBC crawling around under the bridge. Like dirt, leaves, etc. But as batwoman has pointed out, that evidence may not have been distinguishable from...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 1st July - Trial Day 13, Week 3

I would have just thought there would be residual stuff in the car from his clothes/body etc after scrumming around under the bridge. But as batwoman has pointed out, perhaps that residual stuff was bits of grass and leaves the same as is found at the house, so they couldn't tell the difference. :)

totally agree. that's exactly why neither scenario makes sense to me. :)

I meant residual evidence of Kholo Creek on GBCt hat would have been on the car, GBC, house, etc the morning ABC was reported missing if he'd been under the bridge that night. The police said it did not appear there had been a clean up of the car or the house.

Yeah, I just find it unusual that there were no traces of Kholo Creek found. Kholo Creek was pretty overgrown back then. The grass on the side where you could pull in was quite high at that time too. I just find it very odd that if there had been no cleanup obvious to the police (and I'd assume...

I struggle with the bridge in both regards. I dont think it fits with suicide at all. But I dont think it fits with GBC committing murder at the house, while the kids were asleep, transporting her body to the bridge, getting her under it, on his own, leaving no trace of Kholo Creek or a physical...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 1st July - Trial Day 13, Week 3

That's it possum. He was a salesman. Spin was his job. I don't think creating an 'image of success' facade is unusual in the field of real estate. Some might even think it necessary. I think this probably affected how both GBC and ABC interacted with others in the community sometimes too - and...

Maybe they want to say it was written for marketing puroposes (therefore may not be an actual representation of how things really were)?

Morning Doc. :) The ABC I knew was happy, positive, optimistic, energetic and fun. I was aware she had suffered from post natal depression after her third child, but it was mentioned in a past tense way and nothing gave me the impression she was still depressed two years ago. I was not aware she...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 30th June - Trial Day 12, Week 3

I can't be 100% sure what they knew Louise. I haven’t spoken to them in the past 2 years, so I haven’t asked them (and I wouldn’t have asked that even if I had spoken to them). I guess only they can know that for sure. But I do think it highly unlikely that they would have encouraged or...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 30th June - Trial Day 12, Week 3

I think there was some pretty suspicious stuff in the bail hearings that has been explained away - like the 'taking the fifth' searches and the midnight facetime call that turned out not to have happened. Maybe that's why it seemed more convincing back then?

Agreed. Although, for me, it's easier to explain away the blood in the car than the scratches on the face. The blood in the car is suspicious, yes, but it's quite reasonably possible it happened before ABC went missing IMO. But the scratches don't make sense at all. Nobody (other than GBC I...
