IL IL - Elfrieda 'Fritzie' Knaak, 29, Lake Bluff, 30 Oct 1928

I stumbled upon this thread tonight and spent a few hours reading the entire thing. Wow! I had never heard of Elfrieda Knaak before. There's no way that poor woman tortured herself to that degree. I just wish she could have given some names and details. :( Ausgirl hasn't posted in here since...

Loved Ones Fear Richard Simmons Being Held Against His Will

I love Richard Simmons. He's such a great guy. I love to exercise, so I joined his web forum for a few months a couple of years ago. He hosts hour-long chats every Monday evening. He also mailed me an autographed photo in 2013. Anyway, his beloved dalmation, Hattie, died and he had a nasty knee...

FL FL - Wendy Huggy, 16, Clearwater, 7 April 1982

I just saw this story on Dateline: Real Life Mysteries a couple of hours ago. I doubt Wendy will ever be found, but there's always hope. Bump for Wendy!

    The 911 Call

That video was also removed. "Free Darlie Routier" uploaded it on their channel over 2 years ago. Hopefully, that means it will stay up now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZcC0N9HZMM

65-year-old mother of 13 is pregnant with quadruplets

Exactly! No one that old has any business being pregnant. I guess her other 13 kids weren't enough?!

GUILTY FL - Wayne Treacy for savage beating of 15yo girl, Deerfield Beach, 17 March 2010

Bump! From October 2012: Wayne Treacy receives 20-year sentence in Ratley attack I hope it's okay that I bumped this old thread. I was reading through it and noticed that last post was from April 2012, six months before Wayne Treacy was sentenced. Twenty years is not enough, IMO.

The man who sued his wife for birthing an ugly baby

Bump! I hope no one minds me bumping an old thread from over 2 years ago. I won't make it a habit. Anyway, I just stumbled upon this thread and was even more interested when I saw the link that JeannaT provided from 2004. According to Snopes, the story is false: Ugly Story I really hope...

Finding Katherine and Sheila--Before it's 40 Years Since They Have Been Missing!!!

Exactly. It's unlikely that they're still alive, but not impossible. It's always amazing when people who were kidnapped turn up years (or decades) later. Until we learn otherwise, there is hope.

    Remembering Sheila and Katherine

That's why I'm here. I was looking at their "Charley Project" pages again and I had completely forgotten that they disappeared just days before their birthdays. Sheila's birthday is March 30 (in 5 days) and Katherine's birthday is March 29 (in 4 days). This is just such a sad case. :( I really...

    Case related Photos

Not all short names that are usually nicknames are nicknames. I knew an Alex who wasn't "Alexander," and a Greg who wasn't "Gregory." I'm guessing her first name really was Betty.

VA VA - The Colonial Parkway Murders, 1986-89

This case is very interesting to me because I've lived in Williamsburg, VA my whole life. (Thankfully not much happens here in our quiet town.) I was a child when the murders happened and I didn't learn about them until I was older. I spent many evenings on the Colonial Parkway in the late '90s...
