Alicia Elizabeth said GL had a low tolerance for noise. This bit from the article sounds like it will be living Hell for him:
"An insider said the unit is full of unsavoury characters who scream from their cells at all hours.
“The unit is extremely loud and noisy due to the profile of prisoner...
GL was interviewed in 2020 & told LE he didn't see RH & CC. I believe witnesses told LE the blue 4WD campsite was pretty close to RH & CC's campsite. I wonder whether GL told LE in 2020 exactly where his campsite was, also whether LE already knew from other witnesses how close their campsites...
That was an interesting video. I was fascinated to see what the high country in that area is really like. I think the blue 4WD (it does look like a Nissan Patrol) in the video at 5:00 was being driven by the man who was following Tim Bates (?), the driver making the video. He tells him at about...
I did mean the tent fire. My assumption wasn't based on knowledge of the likely behaviour of fire at that campsite. I wondered if person hoped the tent fire would develop into a bush fire that completely consumed tent, bodies, vehicle and surrounding area but then moved the bodies when the fire...
Yes I think he would have left 15 or 20 years before if he was going to leave his wife. CC must have accepted that, even if she wished they were living together. However, RH's wife now knows that for 20 years he was having an affair with the glamorous woman she saw as a family friend. Unless RH...
GL might not have had the children with him at that time of Lisa's death. I think Alicia (?), Lisa's daughter, said Lisa's parents had access to the children at least some of the time before GL moved the children to Qatar
I had the impression Lisa's family would not have welcomed GL at her funeral & he would have known that. If that's right, I think a lot of people in GL's position would not have attended the funeral
I think they were simply seeking additional information on the blue Nissan. It seems they knew the rego of the Nissan early on and therefore would easily discover the owner. They spoke to GL, who said he didn't see RH or CC, so he confirmed he was in the valley at the relevant time. I think the...
It doesn't say why the guy found GL 'odd'. It just says:
"The witness saw a man with a blue Nissan Patrol and trailer near the Wonnangatta campsite as early as Wednesday, March 18.
He said the man was odd and that he stopped to ask for advice on the best campsites. It is not known if the man...
Perhaps "accounted for" means a vehicle and its occupants at the relevant time have been identified the vehicle but a vehicle is only "eliminated" from their list when LE is satisfied that it was not involved in RH and CC's disappearance.
While CC had a very nice face for her age, she was 72 or 73. GL's wives were both slim attractive flight attendants, the 2nd wife a fair bit younger than him. I doubt there was a sexual element in this. However, as has been said many time before, anything might have occurred.
Are we allowed to...
Jaywill: "I think that it may be an old fashioned bit of slang."
I found a reference to SOL meaning s--- on liver via Google Books in The New Partridge Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English. Said to mean ill temper, Australia, 1951. That fits. I heard it from a friend's mother, born...
