EL PASO, Texas – Police confirmed with KFOX14 they are assisting Fort Bliss on reports Tuesday of an active shooting at the VA clinic next to the William Beaumont Army Medical Center.

Viewers say they’ve seen heavy police activity in the area of Fred Wilson Avenue and Alabama Street, and all traffic has come to a stop.

The remains of a 17-year-old man whose mother reported missing in Santa Barbara in 1995 has finally been identified by the Pacific Grove Police Department. Investigators there have not yet released the name of the deceased citing his age at the time of death.
Pacific Grove police, in conjunction with the Monterey County Coroner's Office, resubmitted DNA recovered from the remains in 1995. A DNA match was made and linked to a missing person's report filed by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.
In 1995, a partial body was found floating in the water at Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove, CA. Due to the body being badly decomposed, investigators were unable to identify the person and a standard report was filed with information being disseminated to try and connect the remains to a missing person, all with no luck.

NewsChannel 3 and KCOY Central Coast News have confirmed the name of the 17-year-old that went missing in 1995 to be Cengiz Han Nuray.

DAMMARTIN-EN-GOELE, France — Ending a seven-hour hostage siege, French security forces stormed a printing factory outside Paris on Friday and killed the two brothers suspected in the massacre at Charlie Hebdo magazine, authorities said.

Almost simultaneously, police raided a kosher supermarket in the capital itself and killed a gunman who took hostages there, said Agnes Thibeaut, a spokeswoman for the Paris prosecutor.

Two police sources told NBC News that a hostage was freed at the printing factory. There was no official word on the number or fate of the hostages at the market. Photos from the scene showed several people being shepherded to safety by law enforcement...

MIAMI (AP) — Florida authorities say George Zimmerman, whose acquittal of murdering an unarmed black teen sparked a national debate on race and self-defense laws, has been arrested on an aggravated assault charge.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says the 31-year-old Zimmerman was arrested in Lake Mary about 10 p.m. Friday and is being held at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
