We need to send a brief package of information to each middle and high school in Myrtle Beach.

Teachers have excellent memories of students, and they care.

Hey mods,

I want to start a new thread to address some recent issues. Is that something I can do?

If not, will post here happily.

I just need to say it.. I freaking love you all so much. This will be explained in greater depth in my post. But holy.. I just love you so much.

With your permission, I can forward this information to LEO in Myrtle Beach. They have more resources and can follow-up on the leads quickly.

Guess what? I've just been contacted by somebody in the entertainment industry; They are reposting Grateful Doe's story to their followers!

I won't give out their name, or what they are involved in, as they want to remain private.

BUT YAY!!!!!

You are amazing. Amazing. I just saw your posts on that other site we can't link and my mouth nearly dropped to the floor. I'm so hooked on Grateful Doe and want this case solved more than any other I've ever followed. You've brought so much needed attention to Jason and for that I am truly "grateful".

Hey guys, I have some family members in politics in Charleston. I just sent an email to see if they can help me get that photo in the newspaper. Would this be helpful? Not sure if anyone has tried yet. I'd also be willing to email Myrtle Beach news outlets if it would be helpful. Let me know if you think this would do more harm than good? I don't really have an idea on how many people are trying to get the photo out there right now.

All of the info is here Current Leads; Facts and Updates.

It is heart breaking </3

There is a tip for a Jason from St.James Middle School in Myrtle Beach in 1992. He had failed a grade and then did not go back to that school. Fwiw

Where is this information from?

A woman on the FB group said she thinks it's the same Jason that she sat near in history class, but, he failed a year then left the school, around 1992.

Thank you for the additional info. Wow. That would be the exact age. If he was middle school age (13/14?) that would put him right around 17 in '95. I hope someone has been in contact with her. Maybe she still knows friends from that time who may remember more.

I saw that, too. As a comment on some of the stuff on facebook. I think the person said they were going to look through yearbooks but I can't find the comment anymore.

Quick question (and pardon me if it's already been answered, this is my first post)

Who is in contact with lead 1 and 2. Is that you, Greymetal? Or the girls running the GD FB page? Or both. I just want to know where I should hang out for more info and to see if I can help at all.

I took a class on Forensic Science a couple of years ago and made friends with the teacher who is a professional medical examiner and trace evidence specialist. I recently got back in contact with her and sent her this e-mail today (personal sentiments/names redacted):

"I'm e-mailing you now because I've been trying to look into a cold case for a man known as the Greensville County John Doe or "Grateful Doe." If you don't know of this case, you can find details through any google search. Due to the recent attention from social media, some pictures of a boy resembling the victim have been released from someone who believes they knew the doe.

I know that you'd require more information to make a solid conclusion, but my request of you is that you take a look at the pictures I've attached if you find the time and let me know if you think that this could be our guy, as there's just been speculation up until this point. Included in the pictures are a digital reconstruction, a post-mortem reconstruction, things recovered from the body, two photos of the potential lead, and said photos in a side-by-side comparison to the post-mortem reconstruction and a sketch of the victim."

Hopefully will get a response by tomorrow. Doing what I can to spread the word.
