Apologies in advance but I haven't been up to speed on all things JA for about the past 2 weeks. I have read this thread and saw two or three mentions of an "assistant" of JSS possibly doing something illegal/unsavory/disrespectful/something. Can anyone clue me in, or did I misread those posts (entirely possible).

Some of us have floated some theories about MM's involvement that go beyond just lying about the forged pedo letters to help the killer. But they are theories only and likely not going to evolve beyond that.

I loved it when Juan proved that some of the texts were sent from a computer, allegedly JA's and likely so since Nurmi fought so hard against that line of questioning.

I loved it when Juanstie proved that anyone could have written letters in anyone else's handwriting by demonstrating using JA's journals to write a confession letter.

The sex tapes have always sounded OFF to me and I sure would love it if someone could prove it was possible for them to be faked.

Juan never got his hands on the Helio phone and I believe there was a good reason why. All the damning info was on that phone and her computer in my opinion.
 
Not that it affects anything except my curiosity, but has there been any news about the theft of Dr. D's laptop? I know it was years ago, but I can't help thinking it was one of ja's deranged groupies - male most likely, but who could it be hmm... :thinking:

IIRC Shanna Hogan said it was confirmed that it was MM and the pedo letters.

For all the claims of fear on the part of Jodi Arias' Phantom 14 witnesses.....and especially how Dr. Karp and Alyce LaViolette were allowed to withdraw from the case ....when the ONE party who actually was violated was working for the state, Dr. DeMarte...the irony is rich, indeed.

It was overtly inferred that the burglar was not random, he or she wanted THAT laptop. The crime remains unsolved to the best of my knowledge.

Some of Jodi Arias' fanatics are indeed quite dangerous. I have been STUNNED at how far they have gone with cyber bullying and by what the death threats of one man to Jane Velez and Nancy Grace. She seems to inspire folks who are a little off mentally and clearly unglued emotionally. By contrast, Travis has brought so very many GOOD people together through these last seven years. True friendships that have mattered in one another's lives have been formed and much good charity work has been done; and will be done perpetually, to honor him.

Evil did not win.

JW crying to JSS after DR's statement on the stand about JW being the one misrepresenting things would be humorous, were it not for the seriousness of the attack on Deanna's character (and by association, TA's character).

JW's bullying of Deanna was also completely dishonorable. Her trying to shame DR was embarrassing, more so for JW than Deanna.

BBM IMO, I do not think that DR's character was attacked by anybody in court. If anything, she was attacked by her church, who deemed her (and TA) unworthy and took away their temple recommends. I really do not think JW was trying to shame DR because she had sex with TA. She was digging on her because she was trying to get DR to admit that TA hurt her emotionally or physically. I agree with you about Juan Martinez. Seems like a really nice man. MOO

IMO Nurmi and Willmott went after Deanna so hard on orders from Arias. Her contempt for Deanna was apparent in her diary and letters and demeanor in court. She couldn't take the fact that Deanna and Travis had a relationship of respect even after their romance ended. Deanna did what was required of her in her church. She confessed her behavior and accepted the consequence. She worked through it with her bishop and moved on with her life and her faith.
Travis struggled with his desire for physical pleasure and his love for his religion. He felt "addicted" to and "ruined" by Jodi.

I concur! Nurmi and Jen BOTH treated Deanna poorly.

She showed more grace under fire than the pair of them, combined, on their best day. She is a smart, classy, beautiful person and her faith means a lot to her. We all aspire to do well. What matters is how we pick ourselves up and try to right our path, head held high in our knowing that we are forgiven and have a new start. Deanna Reid is someone I would sooner hold up to my daughters as an example rather than someone who had never fallen down. Nurmi was very crude with her and it was wholly unnecessary, designed to humiliate her. Deanna was expecting him to do so. She tells Dr. Drew she knew walking in. In this phase Jennifer certainly attacked her by implying over and over again that she lied in her deposition. Once the tapes were played the jury learned that she answered honestly and Jennifer was hoping the jury would make inferences otherwise by asking questions out of context. It didn't work, either time. Everyone from both juries that I have heard opine, liked, trusted and respected Deanna.

I completely agree. They struggled with their faith, but love and hormones does that to people. Two good people IMO.

Yes Schmatz, I have wavered back and forth on MM's involvement. The one reason I think he did participate in some fashion and JA wont rat him out is because that would have proved to everyone in the world, even her supporters, that the murder was premeditated. That would kill any chance at all she would have on appeals or if she were to win a new trial.

but she can't help herself. She needs to continually blame others and add names to her blame-list. MM effed up according to her. And she meant it. Eventually she'll roll a bus over him as well, in my opinion. Its just a matter of time.
 
After starting to transcribe some of the DT's cross of DR, I felt angry and saddened.
I needed to balance out my digital life, and found an hour long version of Pharrell Williams -- Happy People of the Internet dance.
