The new list will be posted shortly everyone. My partners and I have whittled the list down from like 10 pages down to 5. The list, once I post it, will have only people we haven't ruled out yet. Stay tuned!

I feel like we should have a drum roll or something! How exciting!

Ok, here is the new list. Rule outs have been removed. What would help is if we could get NCIC Numbers and Case Numbers for all of these individuals, if they are listed on line, that way we can continue to reach out to agencies to do our work requesting dental records and DNA. If someone wants to take on that task, private message me and we can get something worked out. Thanks again!!!!

*WARNING! MENTION OF GRAPHIC ITEM*

We try to steer family members to the section set aside for families to get information which saves them from having to see the details unless they choose to participate, but we warn them it can be graphic and upsetting at times. However, we don't censor ourselves when discussing cases. Some cases are simply horrific no matter how we discuss them.

I don't understand the difference between me answering a question about Lake and Ng's treatments in reference to this case and others discussing the various people who would cut off a person's hands and feet. Where is the line on this? To me, that is equally as graphic and both are possibly related to this case. (But I will from now on put up a warning on this thread so those who cannot deal can scroll!)

I wasn't addressing any particular post in particular, and I'm sorry if I sounded like I was questioning one of yours. My intent was only to point out that often people are more sensitive to issues like that in the unidentified forum. There are lots of family members here and no, there isn't another area to direct them to. If they think their loved one might be an unknown death somewhere, they need to be here.

Ok, here is the new list. Rule outs have been removed. What would help is if we could get NCIC Numbers and Case Numbers for all of these individuals, if they are listed on line, that way we can continue to reach out to agencies to do our work requesting dental records and DNA. <snipped for space>

Mmarty, I just entered the two not yet listed names from the Charley Project (CO) in post above...I'm wondering if the case numbers are the next-to-last number in the findthemissing link? Also--not sure where to find the NCIC number?

Thank you for posting mmarty! I can now also include info on dental and dna exactly how you would like it. Would you like exact age with the year missing in a shortened format? (ie:28/77 = age 28 in 1977)

I (We) can give you exact ages at time of missing, continue to post the age if death were to occur in 1991 and indicate by "ish", or both. Whatever works best for LEO.

Age at time went missing works best for us. Also the case number, like with Doe Network stuff is usually a number next to or underneath and agency name, NCIC numbers are usually a letter then nine numbers.

A previous poster (sorry, can't remember which one) asked about websites other than NamUs, Doe Network, and Charley Project. Another poster suggested checking individual State and department web sites. This is a wonderful idea. I have seen a number of agency web sites that post information regarding unsolved cases and/or missing people on their web sites. Maybe we can dig up some more names this way. For now, I would concentrate on California, Nevada, Arizona, and Oregon first, perhaps with special attention to California and Nevada since it appears the shirt and the hat are pointing at those two states.

We are currently having an isotope analysis done on the victim's hair, which has the potential to reveal what region of the country the victim had been in the weeks prior to his death. Here's a link for the science behind it. It's fascinating:
http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/News/2008/February/26020801.asp

We are hoping this will give us an idea on what region of the country to focus on. As soon as the results are available, we will post them here to help everybody in the search effort.
