They could have seen his picture on JR's FB page or perhaps they found his name when investigating who all the "employees" were that worked in the Sievers' practice? Or possibly from cell phone records. Or did JR mention his name or JR's girlfriend mention him? These days, there are way too many clues just in social media and these criminals aren't bright enough to figure that out.

Is CWW a felon? His DNA/fingerprints very well could be in a criminal database. Maybe he left just enough evidence to ID, tie him to the scene.

Someone asked about how big stores help LE. I worked for one and they have security and IT support. Unlike hardware stores that sell numerous hammers, the box stores usually have 1 or 2 types. It basically pretty simple by querying their database. They can pinpoint the day, time and register. Then tie to customer payment system and security camera system.

That is all true enough.

But I am more curious about how LEO would know that the hammer had been purchased locally, the day before the murder? Did the killer leave the receipt? LOL!!

I would think their family members deactivate their FB accounts, especially like JR's with the hammer photo/quote, and pics tying him to people and places.

I honestly can't recall any specific names but there have been plenty of cases where a FB page has disappeared within hours of a perp being arrested. I have never tried to delete my own FB page for obvious reasons, but I am pretty sure it is done by FB/Twitter/Instagram themselves.

Which is why WS'ers take screen shots all the time. This is a known issue.

I suppose its within the realm of possibility (the LE that is), but I do doubt it based on logical reasoning. WHY would they do this, and what is to be gained by them for interfering in someone's personal account such as FB could be seen in a civil lawsuit if found not guilty?

Family yes, of course. And for reasons others have stated too. Damaging evidence there. "Hammer" ....very damaging IF allowed into a trial. But of course LE can retrieve anything there I'm sure if they have need of it or call someone to the stand to swear and attest to anything under oath. :thinking:

The "family" apparently is already giving that cousin a hard time in Missouri regarding "the Hammer" for speaking to reporters.

So no doubt its them taking away the FB for their loved one, but they probably also had permission from him imo.

Someone has already said that the photo of Tammy & her husband in their ankle bracelets on the beach should be sent to the judge, and possibly them flaunting their photos could be damaging to them, but they remain in spite of it. (meaning the FB accounts of accused murderers who haven't yet had a jury of their peers find them guilty of anything!)

Assuming the weapon was found at the scene, I would think LE narrowed down local retailers who carried the particular brand and model of the hammer, and obtained sales records to ascertain if such a hammer had been purchased recently. If a credit card was used in the purchase, a trace would have identified the credit card holder, in addition to a search of surveillance video for the date and time of the purchase.

Here's an example from a 2014 murder in New Orleans where the drowned victims were weighted down with kettlebells.

Store records revealed a suspicious $177 purchase made at 1 a.m. Feb. 19 for two 30-pound kettlebells, two fleece hooded sweatshirts, three pairs of "gripping gloves," some fishing line, blue utility rope, two pairs of shoes and a bottle of degreaser, according to a search warrant. The transaction was made with an American Express card in Martin's name.

A man and a woman were captured on store surveillance video buying the items. "The transaction was approved and verified with the signature of B. Martin," Detective Ryan Vaught wrote in an application for a search warrant.

To protect the integrity of evidence, in the event an individual other than the account holder has access to alter posts. Yes, a snapshot of the page as it appeared at a particular date and time should suffice, but alterations could present complications.

To discourage outsiders from muddying the waters with bogus comments claiming knowledge of, or even participation in, the crime.

To prevent tainting a jury, or subsequent claims of such by defense attorneys.

By the way, there are a lot of people named Jimmy Roberts, but only one, seemingly, had the Facebook name "Jimmy Roberts (hammer)". Until yesterday, entering "Jimmy Roberts (hammer)" in a Facebook search took you directly to the incriminating page. I'm guessing casual viewers, prior to his latest arrest, might have assumed the nickname was a sexual or drinking reference.

I wouldn't expect any more arrests until FL LE has a chance to interview JR and CWW. Remember, folks, the old saying that the one who speaks first gets the best deal.

I would imagine that the Feds will allow FL LE to question both men while still in MO, especially JR. If he knows the entire conspiracy, knock off the possibility of 1st Degree/Death Penalty, and he'll sing like a canary.

While Lee County probably knows pretty well who the other POI(S) is/are, they will want verification by participant(s) and a promise of testimony for a 2nd Degree charge w/possibility of parole.

A couple of things..the page that MS and LS set up is not the only one set up 2 days after the murder..

TS had several siblings.. per her obit.. one (sister) was a PHD and one (sister) was a doctor. In all there were 3 other sisters and 2 brothers who survived TS. Why is no other sibling speaking out or being contacted by the press except AL? I haven't seen anything that says, for example..XXXX was called but has not returned the call. OR XXXX has declined an interview. IF LE said "say nothing" then they would ALL be quiet, imo. IMO, she is not acting as a family spokesperson, either. Where is the rest of the family? The rest of the family seems to be united in their silence. I do wonder about the dynamics. JMO
