Plongi, what is the significance of the Ned Kelly Rest Area you've indicated in your map above?

Its a place to have a rest, wait or meet up before or after the long trip from SA direction. Wallaroo on the Barton Highway.. the way to SA. Last one before you reach ACT border or first one just across.

LOL. I get that it's a rest area. What significance does it have to this case is what I was asking.

Could be a murder scene. Sorry if its fanciful.

Oh no, don't be sorry. I just thought you may have had some new info in regard to the rest area. I've driven through Wallaroo many times and there is not a whole lot there so DH stopping at a rest area does make sense.

Canada - hopefully useful in Australia too

As explained earlier in trial...Urban areas have more cell towers each with lesser coverage. Rural areas = Fewer towers with more coverage.

The presentation tells court that figuring out where a cellphone is is easier in urban areas over rural. #HamOnt #TimBosma

Phone uses cell site with strongest signal. So usually closest tower is pinged.

It’s then alleged Holdom killed Khandalyce while on the way to South Australia in the vicinity of the small NSW town of Wallaroo some time between 2.17am on December 19 and 12.52am on December 20. Police have not released how or exactly where she died

Iaccio says cell towers are just a "general guideline." Radius of tower depends on many factors. 1-1.5 km in urban centre, rural@= 2-2.5 km
Mark Carcasole ‏@MarkCarcGlobal 3 Min.Vor 3 Minuten
Iaccio says typically, Wind can get GPS coordinate of customer's phones as long as it's on.

Iaccio is a qualified expert in the interpretation of cell phone records.

Maybe, someone ist interested re Belanglo State Forest and Wallaroo. The expert is from Canada, but I think, that doesn't matter?

Exactly, FG.
I posted some info on this forum months ago from a Telstra tech who sourced it for me.
I can't remember the exact details without looking them up (and on phone so that's tricky) but the potential area a ping or series of pings could come from was MASSIVE and in the case of Belanglo, included pretty much the entire forest and the highway.
AND he said that in 2008 it would have been considerably less accurate.
My personal opinion of the "ping data" claim is that it was always a furphie or at least a gross exaggeration.

Could be a murder scene. Sorry if its fanciful.

I think it is logical rather than fanciful.
I certainly don't believe phone pings have placed DH in that area at that time so I think it must be a sighting.
A well known rest area like this one fits the bill pefectly.
Local police patrols would be in the habit of always noting rego numbers of cars and trucks in the rest area - that's normal routine everywhere.
My guess is that is the info that is placing DH in Wallaroo in the time period.
Whether it is specifically that rest area or another, who knows, but that one seems a likely contender.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-02-19/police-found-ice-hidden-next-to-mallee-highway/6144836 is very interesting, Plongi!!!!

We have speculated a lot on this forum if this sort of arrangement might explain a lot of seemingly odd activities related to this case.
I wonder if this might also relate to the redacted information in that police accident report HP is seeking in order to sue DH (or DM then).

"He is in custody in New South Wales. Obviously there have been some criminal investigations in relation to the two deaths. (two deaths= HP's children, IMO)

A mediation hearing for the civil case has been set down for February, and the case will return to court at the end of February.

At that time we will have to search for news.

Ms Passmore's lawyers also sought documents from the Repatriation General Hospital.

http://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/wps/w...eneral+hospital/repatriation+general+hospital
The future of the Repatriation General Hospital site

The Repatriation General Hospital provides high quality services, but many of the current public hospital facilities are outdated and cannot provide all of the spaces, equipment and layout needed for modern medical treatments. Implementing changes through Transforming Health will see most clinical and rehabilitation services currently provided at the Repatriation General Hospital transitioned to other metropolitan hospitals or locations. These changes will not happen immediately but will result in the public hospital components of the Repatriation General Hospital site facilities becoming vacant.

Has HP indeed been exclusively in Adelaide?

Something makes me wonder if there is any connection between this case and the awful kidnapping, rape and attempted murder in the SA Coorong recently. I have no evidence, just a feeling.
This is a link to the Coorong story: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-02-...investigate-alleged-backpacker-rapist/7162440

It's uncanny that police have had him within their radar over the past year.

7 News revealed yesterday that the suspect was already in police sights as detectives had already raided his southern suburbs home several times in the past year seizing items of interest.

Off thread topic, I know, and apologies in advance, but can anyone enlighten me as to what I should be seeing or looking for in the photos of the bedroom and why they've been released? Or is it perhaps to jog the memory of other past potential victims?
