I wonder how much of this is true. We know Joy got the info about Paynesville from Eloc. We know the Hunt pointed at Duane Hart. Kudos to Jared for confronting the monster.

Jared is amazing. It boggles the mind though that Joy is claiming she knew it was Heinrich when obviously she pointed to Duane Hart. Why the spin when the truth would not take away from the effort that was expended?

LE knew DR did not do Jared. He had an alibi of playing in a band

I don't think she claimed to know it was Heinrich. Even though I had given her Heinrich's name as a suspect two years ago, she said in her blog last November that Heinrich was not on her radar. LE may have been telling them privately they were wrong about Paynesville, but publicly Stearns has said they didn't tell them anything investigators didn't already know. If you look at the timeline of events, it's clear that LE started looking at Hart soon after Joy was. That tells me that they were listening, but the preconceived notions about Hart were all wrong.

Looks that way in the video to me

I don't think LE would make them confidantes. Why would they? Maybe they would have with Jared but Joy had been dissing LE so that probably did not go over well

Thank you to all for sharing. So incredibly beautiful.

I love the sketch of Jacob imitating Jerry. And the Father's Day vid. It shows a family filled with love. All children need a family like this.

I thought the service was wonderful today. It's been along time since I've been up there and things sure have changed over the years. One thing that hasn't changed is the support from the community...and the world for that matter. It was a very humbling experience for me. The amount of people there was absolutely incredible. RIP Jacob...and I know you were smiling down today.

I thought by far the most moving part of the ceremony was cousin Allen Overturf's long encomium, which was full of anecdotes and reminiscences. Starts at about 47:40 of the above video.

I liked seeing Red Grammer sing "Listen." That song was the backdrop of the early search effort, and a mainstay for the last 27 years.

Radio stations played it over and over in the beginning. Red Grammer came to St. Cloud and gave a concert sometime in 1990? I forget but I was there. Can't remember where it was held
