The Re-Ordered American Girl Doll..

Ok, I get the part about the fibers but what does that have to do with reordering the doll? Why would it matter if the doll was reordered? I get that it's all creepy but I don't see where this goes?

I remember long discussions about the cord and the duct tape being sourced to this doll. I think it's just another detail that we can get all caught up in, that isn't really very important in the long run. What matters is who killed JonBenet, why, and who committed the prior sexual abuse. Everything else is just so much distraction and can send people off in all sorts of crazy directions.

Because lots of folks would have known that she had that doll in her posession and, by it being missing, suspicions would arise. The thought by the parents would be to clandestinely replace it with a replica.

Please refer to the very first post on this thread. It gives all the whys and what does.
Bottom line: that doll was and still is evidence.

The use of the doll's cord and duct tape in staging the intruder murder shows obstruction of justice. I'm in the BDI camp. I think Patsy staged the scene trying to protect her remaining child.

But couldn't they just say, the intruder did whatever with the doll? Wouldn't ordering a new doll be more suspicious? I'm just not following the logic of this doll thread.

So, an intruder would rip the head off an AGD, use the innards as part of the crime, then abscond with what was remaining? I suppose that's not more ludicrous than anything else that was suggested by the Ramseys et al.

Your guess is as good as mine as to why the Ramseys felt the need to replace it.

Please go to page one of this thread and read the very first post. That will explain it very clearly. Thank you.

In the event the police should ever supena said doll for evidence, they not only could hand one in but also one that may not have the same kind of fiber on the doll's cloth body.

Hello, everyone. It's been a long while since I posted here. With the renewed interest and evidence in this case, I knew this place would be on top of the latest.

My name comes from my former career in the funeral services. My title for my reply comes from past experiences with family behavior at funerals. To wit: the casket.

9 times out of 10, family members will have sentimental items they want to place in the casket with the loved one. While most are intended for public view, a lot go into the foot of the casket or get tucked into the sides. Most of the time, the funeral director never checks on the items. We may not even know they are down there unless the family member requires assistance with the lid. Unless we have reason to be concerned such as with a known gang banger funeral, we're going to leave the family to do what they need to do.

So...if I recall correctly, JBR was in a hardwood casket. I am guessing it was a standard half couch meaning you did not see the lower half of her body. Meantime, there's a white cord, puffs of kapuk, a piece of duct tape and strange fibers the lab can't find matches for.

How much you want to bet that in the foot of JBR's casket, there's a torn apart Molly doll?

Caskets are great for hiding evidence. Better yet, hardwood ones because even with a vault, they will break down faster than the steel ones.

Thankfully, doll vinyl is nearly non bio degradable. The head should still be clearly identifiable as a Molly doll head if that is in there.

I think it is past time the casket be exhumed. JBR is with God. She can't be hurt anymore.
Justice delayed is still justice and it is time she had some.

:goodpost:

In the casket or in the golf bag. Items will remain in the casket, but probably not the golf bag.

Thanks, CasketKitten!

Thank you for this.
A fellow funeral director had reason to check the casket of a young man and recovered a gun! Weapon was tied to the murder that in turn led to that young man being killed in retaliation. I've never forgotten that.

Wow. Just...amazing. Your insight may be invaluable.

I just get the feeling the doll was a taunt, aimed at JR, as was the ransom note. The original may have very well been destroyed to stage the death, but - why address the replacement doll to JB? That would certainly be much more of an attention grabber, especially considering it was delivered to AG, than some brown box with JR's name on it. Like it was meant to embarrass or shock him.

I considered the possibility that it was intended to implicate an IDI, sending something ominous, but if that were the case they would have made the delivery very public, I think.

Or...consider this: that the person ordering the doll had his/her late daughter or, in Nelda's case, late Granddaughter, on the brain that they do the old Freaudian slip thingee and put it in JBR's name.

A case in point; a former boss sought to let me go due to a non work related back injury. He sent the email detailing his plan not to his higher-up...but to me. Why? Because he had me on the brain. See how that could work?

The significance of the dolls is the tape was said to have no connection to the Ramseys and was brought in by an intruder. It was claimed the tape and dark 'wiping' fibers matched nothing in the house, of course it didn't, the dolls were removed before there could be a comparison.

The Ramseys would have been well versed on the significance of invisible amount of trace fibers as forensic evidence from when they lived in Atlanta and the Atlanta Child Murders trial. The conviction was made on scant carpet fiber evidence.

Yes. And as indicated in the first post of the thread, "Molly's " outfit was a shedder of fibers from its dark blue skirt outfit that it came in.
I'd forgotten about the Atlanta cases.

All of this is so extremely interesting! this case gets weirder by the minute. :waitasec: If any of the odd situations showed up in another crime scene, by itself, it wouldn't have any significance. But THIS case, the totality of it, all of the many many many strange parts put together, tells me that no intruder did this.
In regards to the golf bag.... the missing tip of the paintbrush could also be in there. Was Pam under close watch when gathering these items? Was she escorted and each item closely examined before she took possession? (This could've been answered already. Still trying to play catch up!)

It is my understanding Pam took an entire car/trunk load of items from the house. She was not escorted around. They did give her police garb to wear so she would not be detected by outsiders. That is double weird.

If they used things from the Molly doll ie tape, cord ... imho I believe they did, they would need to replace the torn apart one in case someone noticed it missing.
