How do you know doors & windows were locked? Was the reported somewhere?

Locals have said its not uncommon to leave doors unlocked in the neighborhood.

Someone could have snuck in and hidden while she was jogging, surprised her while she wrapping. But then the scent dogs should have been able to track her jogging trail.

It's baffling. I wonder why the secrecy on the timeline. Why no word on what she did leading up to the disappearance? Did Keith see her before work, or maybe he leaves earlier than everyone is up? Is there footage of her dropping kids off at school, maybe stopping at the grocery store on the way home?

Someone posted they think the secrecy is a mistake, and if LE really has no leads, I agree. If they released a little more information it might trigger someone's memory.

Well, I did say that I think she seems very careful, very organized. And, I also tend to think a woman who owns a firearm, ( according to her friends) would not be the type to leave her doors and /or windows unlocked. It's JMO But, your theory is very plausible IF she tended to leave her doors/windows unlocked, so thank you for posting it.

I am cautious, live alone but my doors and windows are only locked when I go to bed or leave the house, not when I am sitting inside.

I don't put much stock in these sightings. I read that while she went missing on the 2nd, people were not interviewed about seeing her that day until the 5th and 6th. The sightings may not be accurate, sadly. jmo

Actually the police canvased her neighborhood and the area she went missing from that night and the next day interviewing neighbors. So I do know some of the information about the sightings came from the day she went missing and the next day.

Just the facts as we know them:

11/2/16
10:37 AM Texts husband asking if he'll be home for lunch
1:39 PM Husband responds to text that he won't be home for lunch
2:00 PM-ish (exact time unknown) Sherri is seen walking/jogging in the area near Sunrise Drive and Sundust Road
5:00 - 6:00 PM-ish (exact time unknown) Husband returns home to empty house and Sherri's car in driveway
(Time unknown) Husband calls daycare
(Time unknown) Husband tracks Sherri's phone with app
(Time unknown) Husband locates Sherri's phone on side of road at Old Oregon Trail and Sunrise Drive intersection
5:51 PM Husband reports Sherri missing (as reported by MSM) AND
7:51 PM Husband calls police to report Sherri missing (as reported by MSM)
I'm sorry, I haven't read every article. What are the last two times? 5:51 & 7:51. Did he call police twice?

And can someone remind me what day they stopped searching?

5:51 and 7:51 .... noted.

I think the 7:51 is a typo by one of the MSM links. I say that because the original posting is written as 1751 (military time) and perhaps they read it wrong when reposting. I updated my link above to remove the 7:51 pm time because I think it's yet another MSM mistake, or maybe I read it wrong.

I pulled the timeline from the various articles posted on the fist few pages of thread #1.

That would be an important clarification.

I'm trying to find the link.

SHASTA COUNTY- On Wednesday evening at 7:51, Keith Papini reported his wife, Sherri Papini, as a missing person with suspicious circumstances.

Keith reported to deputies that upon his arrival home from work, he was not able to locate Sherri or their two children. Keith learned that the children had not been picked up from daycare as customary and subsequently checked his find my I-phone app and located Sherri's phone near the intersection of Old Oregon Trail and Sunrise Drive in Redding.

I think she disappeared between 2-ish and 6-ish

So 7:51 is the correct time? And do we know for sure that he was home at 5:00? Trying to understand the timeline.

Would you lock doors/windows if you were say, taking a nap ? Or a bath ?

TY...did these neighbors say they saw her jogging at 11 am ? tia.

There's also the 11 AM-ish report of tree cutters seeing her plus her text to her husband giving him the impression that she was jogging at that time

Hi everyone. I saw this forum mentioned on The Redding crime Facebook page and have been following Sherri's case through local media.

Something that I've thought about a lot is her husbands employer- Best Buy- its a huge drug hub. Buying, selling, trading. Meeting at the church next door for deals etc. I heard that her husband was an installer. Does anyone know if he a home installer or did he work in the back for vehicle installing?

I ask because my sister worked Geek Squad and died of an overdose back in Aug. By going through her phone we found her supplier, a co-worker from the install dept.( NOT Keith just to make that clear) but we've learned a lot about Best Buy since her death. We've called corporate to report what we know...

It concerns me because addicts will do anything for the next fix. Did a co-worker know of something in their house that they could steal and sell? Money stashed? Maybe they didn't expect Sherri to be home?

It's another reason that her phone could have been tossed like it was. Best Buy employees would know about technology and how her husband could have tracked it.

:welcome: RdgNative! I'm so sorry about your sister. :( Thank you for sharing your experience and the information you learned. I think the drug user who knows KP scenario is certainly possible, even without signs of a struggle in the home. At this point any and all scenarios are still on the table.

Maybe there were signs. They haven't released any information, and the partially wrapped gift wasn't mentioned for several days.

Very possible the Papini home and yard holds lots of clues. I wonder if they had any security cameras.

In order to look at her pins, I had to download the app, create an account, select areas of interest, research on how to find a "pinner" and worm my way to look at pinner SP. It was difficult. Can't wait to delete my account as now I'm getting random stuff in my mailbox.

Oh no! Ha ha. That's a lot. Thanks for the effort! You never know what you can find.

She obviously CHOSE not to have a Facebook. I have many FRIENDS who also CHOOSE not to have a Facebook. I will say again that I strongly feel she was abducted. I do not think you can find out anything about her or her abduction from nosing around in her Pinterest. Lots of people save items that are of no interest to them but they think some acquaintance may be interested. Maybe a better use of time would be trying to exert influence on the Sheriff's Dept or others to get searches made with the proper dogs for a case like this. Or, a case could be made about all the missing ladies in that area.

Praying for Sherri's safe return.

I'm going to try to start a list of unsolved dead and missing NorCal women if anyone would like to add:
