This looks like the truck was burned on purpose. Sure hope there wasn't a footprint where that 4 wheeler is parked.

The next day, David's Bronco was discovered on a rough trail popular with four-wheelers on Bald Mountain Ridge, roughly a 20-minute drive from his family's home. The car was so badly burned, metal pieces had fallen off and no material was left inside.

The pictures of his burned truck look as if they were burned while he was driving. It's right in the middle of the road. So disturbing.

I don't think it has been specified but the search efforts seem pretty involved with state gencies so my guess is yes.

What would be some reasons for a car to be set on fire (and this was a serious fire)?

1) To hide evidence of WHO might have been in the vehicle

2) To hide evidence of WHAT might have been in the vehicle

3) To hide evidence of what might have happened in the vehicle

The two best pieces of evidence that we know of, so far, are the burnt vehicle and the fact that he was going to see a friend.

Who is the friend? I'm hoping drugs were not involved.

That is odd. There is another recently missing teen from Anchorage and I wondered if they could have been together: http://www.ktuu.com/content/news/Help-locate-missing-teen-Mary-Rotzler-403482236.html

I hope that is not them in the burned out Bronco. How likely is it to find TWO burned Broncos in Alaska in a short time? If there are two, is it possible the first one they found was not DG's Bronco?
