Oh! I remember her! Thank you Backwoods! Definitely raised my eyebrows!

It is being treated as a suspicious death. Apparently the local paper used a pic of her mugshot for the article, then changed the photo.

Here is an article about her connection with the club Cashmere:

I was surprised that there is no thread for the case of Dianne McIver , who was shot in the back by husband Tex McIver in Atlanta. Stinks to high heaven. Anyone familiar with that case?

Interesting case, you could start a thread. It seems her husband is selling her personal effects now.

I read about that case a few weeks back. Started a new thread for it here http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...cidentally-discharged&p=12983464#post12983464

Thanks! Time to start a new thread on this above mentioned case too?
"Eatonton woman's death ‘suspicious,' police say"
"Eatonton police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which is assisting in the case, have not released Ivanditti’s cause of death, but say her death’s circumstances have indications of foul play."

When the Dermond double murder was fresh, I did EXTENSIVE research on the case.
I believe that the killers came by boat to the Dermond's, transported Ms. Dermond's body to the dam, and returned by boat.
I do not think that the case will ever be solved due to bungling of the case from the start and failure call in GBI and/or FBI.
However, I'm going to leave this here just in case it is ever solved.

Why would a Sheriff with only four, FOUR, only FOUR deputies, not use all the help he can get?? The county covers the East sides of Lake Sinclair and Lake Oconee, not to mention the countryside...................You can't even get patrol in a neighborhood, heaven forbid gather evidence for a crime, the last deputiy I spoke with this week said this case was a hit from up north.............but he didnt know about other recent thefts in my area I questioned him about, I had some things stolen after last months reported attempted break in, no cop ever showed up to file a report.!!but to reiterate, it is very dark out here, but Oconee has more streetlights than we do on Sinclair, virtually none.............so that's what we are dealing with in addition to whatever else...........

Yes, put in at Lawrence Shoals by the dam, boat up river, quietly enter cove, many trees nearby, in addition to being on a culdesac much privacy for mayhem, leave qiuetly by boat heading back down river to Laurence shoals, drop the body on your way near the dam, exit lawrence shaols, middle of the night or day, not much activity there, one GPS trip if unfamiliar will serve the directionally challenged.......very easily accomplished at dark, very dark on lake and quiet area where they were, and given the party goers, maybe any time of day would suffice...............I do wish they could find the perps

Even on the hiway crossing the lake, travel due south by boat youll run into their "island" at the bend.........................but given the fact they dumped her near the dam, it tells me entry and exit was at Lawrence shoals, who wants to ride around where there is alot of traffic on a hiway with a body

Hello all. It's been a long time...I have not posted on WS very much, or even had a chance to read here much, in a number of months.

Middle Georgia news in the last day or two has had items (two linked below) about the death of a woman in Eatonton that is being investigated by police and GBI -- not clear yet if foul play is suspected, and I am not going to bring her name here (and may she rest in peace) under these circumstances, but it sounded familiar to me and somehow was ringing a bell about something with this (the Dermonds) case. I logged on to do a little searching and found that there was a little discussion in Thread #9 about a club called Cashmere. I believe the woman recently found deceased was connected to this club. Ringing bells for anyone else?

Of course, this may not tie in AT ALL with the Dermonds' case -- but it did snag my attention.

INteresting the GBI was called in this case but she was a prominent citizen of Eatonton...........................or maybe.............connected and felt it was time to call GBI? I recall this information but dont remember why it was brought up in the Dermonds thread....

I noticed the Eatonville PD did not request or take Sills help but opted for the GBI instead.

has anyone looked into the connection and the timing of why the security cameras weren't working?

a hired hit is what I have always believed and this supports that. I think it's possible that Mr. Dermonds head was proof for immediate payout. But why?

I think it's been pondered, certainly, but as I remember, if any real answer was found by authorities we haven't heard about it. There had been some bad weather recently...seems that may have been offered as a possibility, but nothing really firm, as I recall.

It's certainly an interesting area for inquiry.

New details as mystery reigns in year-old Dermond lake murders

“Anything that is halfway sane is a very plausible theory at this point,” says Detective Dave Henry.

Out at the Great Waters entrance, there is now a security gate, one of those arms that goes up and down when you’re let in. The guard shack lies a shade under two miles from the Dermond house. Its security cameras had been knocked out by a storm in the weeks before the killings and were of no use to the authorities.

Somebody took credit for that storm, if I recall correctly.
