If I am understanding correctly, where is this Alfredo Marrero at now? The sex offender site says he is non-compliant with reporting his address! His photo is current - October 31, 2016. It creeps me out to see him with children.

Where is Kayla? This is frustrating!
 
I live in the area. I went to the same Highschool as Kayla, but I was several years her senior and we didn't hang out in the same crowds. I did know of her, and took classes with a couple of her friends. Her home life did not seem good at all. My mother had a lot to say about her mother when Kayla went missing.
 
A partially decomposed body was found Thursday at Rib Mountain State Park

Keep us updated. We don't even know if it is male or female.
 
I doubt the body is Kayla. She's been gone for 7 years, if her body were exposed to the elements, insects, wildlife, etc, for that long there would not be that much of her left, if anything. It's worth keeping an eye on though.

Unless she was being held against her will for seven years until recently; though, I agree, that's a pretty remote possibility.

That's certainly possible, I'm not denying that. It does happen, even in populated areas. It might be especially plausible considering that viral video may have freaked out the kidnapper and they decided to get rid of her.

We probably won't know much more until Friday at the earliest when the body will be examined.

That's a new point that hadn't been brought out in the news. I was under the impression they were still in a relationship at the time she allegedly went to see him. I wonder how long a time period it was between when they broke up and when she disappeared.


The house with the dumpster pictured in the news story doesn't look even remotely like the house on Bridge St. where MM had allegedly seen her the day before she disappeared.

The video was posted in 2011 on YouTube but became a sensation last October after an Internet forum user suggested the bound girl looked like Berg.

Sadly, among those who were convinced the resemblance was strong enough to be investigated, was her mother, Hope Sprenger.

She said the girl in the film resembled her daughter and she and Berg's brother were convinced it was her until police confirmed it was a played out scenario.

'I thought it was Kayla. It looked like her and it was the worst feeling. Just sick and disturbing. I didn't sleep for days,' she told DailyMail.com.

The 15-year-old Antigo girl was last seen with 24-year-old Kevin Kielcheski, a friend of Kayla's older brother. Kielcheski told police that he drove Kayla to Wausau, 40 minutes away from Antigo, to drop her off at an abandoned house owned by an acquaintance of hers, Miguel Marrero.

She was never seen or heard from again. That year, investigators in central Wisconsin impounded separate vehicles belonging to both Kielcheski and Marrero in hopes of finding forensic evidence of a violent crime. However, no blood or other significant evidence was recovered.
