Canada - Anthony Raine, 17 mos, found dead, Edmonton, April 2017 *Arrests*

So who is missing their little boy? No other description has been given that I know about yet, i.e. skin colour, hair and eye colour. Birthmarks, etc. Hopefully someone will submit a tip soon to help identify this little one.

I've only see the description of the clothes - nothing really about the baby himself except around 20 months or older.

That church is right next door to a fire station on one side, and a bus transit center on the other. Seems like a pretty busy place. You'd think someone saw something? You'd also think it would be a really terrible choice of locations to leave a deceased child.

Quite a bit of discussion here https://www.facebook.com/CTVEdmonton/posts/1322980181070366

The bus station may be relevant to this. Maybe this baby is from elsewhere?

Heartbreaking. Such a sad place to be left. Rest in peace little guy

-It has been cold:

so clothes seem normal dress for a small one...especially for evening/night.

-Clothes look very clean, but apart from the shoes, not new.
-No mention of injuries and no evidence of bleeding etc.

Neglect/Accidental death with a non-custodial parent...?

Somebody will miss (or notice the absence of) this child very soon I think and put 2 + 2 together with the news reports...

rbbm.

The snowsuit looks pretty stained to me (left leg, and on both sides of the embroidery on the bib area, as well as the underside of the right sleeve) - and I've done a massive search and cannot find one in that style or color, so it was likely purchased used, )or a hand me down from an older child) and a style they no longer make. The onesie and shoes both look like your garden variety Wal-Mart stuff.

Our youngest 4 are all very close in age so most of them got hand-me-down snowsuits every year. Some of them ended up looking just like this one by the time the youngest one got it.

Yeah, I noticed the discolouration in the snow suit just now. It looks like there is pink mixed with the purple. So some wear and tear. Shoes are very clean as is the onesie.

I am reading conflicting reports as to whether the the toddler was wearing the clothes or not...
Particularly the two videos under this story:
In one video the reporter, Shallima Maharaj, states (and tweeted the same) that the toddler was NOT wearing the clothes but the next auto-playing video of the presser the LEO says he WAS wearing them...

I think he was wearing the onesie but not necessarily the snowsuit or the shoes.

That's a rather unique looking show suit, so hopefully someone will recognize it.

On Saturday, a bouquet of yellow tulips could be seen outside the church near the area where the child's body was found.

Anyone who recognizes the clothing or who has information about the death or identity of the child is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.tipsubmit.com/start.htm.

When I listened to the presser, the LE guy first says clothing "located at the scene with the child" as if he wasn't wearing them. But he then follows up saying the toddler was actually wearing the snowsuit.

ETA: Then we have Global News saying police stated he wasn't wearing the clothing! So either Global was able to follow up and get that confirmed, they misinterpreted what LE said or the LE at the press conference misspoke about the snowsuit???

I wonder if there is significance to it being an Anglican Church, or whether it was just the nearest Church. Anglican tends to be rather devout, meaning it doesn't make much sense to me that an Anglican would abandon a child's body at the Church.

I sure hope the child wasn't left there alive in the middle of the night.

Sadly marking my spot.

The more time that goes by that this poor baby isn't reported missing, the more obvious it becomes that...

Well, you know. :(

Marking. I am puzzled that there is no description of this little one...

Yes, it seems odd that they are trying to identify him but release no information on his ethnicity or any identifying features.
