MO MO - Marion Co, 'Jane Hannibal Doe 2013', HispFem 15-40, UP12708, in Miss River, Ariya jeans, Sep'13

Thinking about it, this may be part of what led them to believe she was not "local." I don't believe that there is a large Hispanic population in the Hannibal/Quincy area; I believe that it is more concentrated to the south in the St. Louis area and a bit more to the northwest toward the Cass Co., IL area.

Cyan I completely agree with you. I was also thinking maybe Iowa area. I don't think she is from the quincy/ Hannibal area though. I think she would have been ID'd already

I think it was also that the investigation found that she had visited a nearby tourist site, which would seem to indicate she was from out of the area.

Shinn reported he still believes the woman toured the cave two days before her body was found.

“She was believed to be in the company of another female and a male,” he said. “They would be the persons of interest. We have no credit card receipts. The clerk at the cave believes they did purchase something with cash.”

I think that could be a possibility. There are a lot of hog confinements north of here and closer to IA that employ many Hispanic people.

I was really confused as to why everyone was talking about Missouri when the location said MS

Somewhat OT:

Well Doc, by flow volume we now know that the Mississippi River should be the Missouri River, anyway....

Why isn’t her Dna checked to see if she is largely Hispanic or not?!?!? Very simple test!

Could Deana Marie Schwark be a possibility?

The Charley Project.

NamUs.

The NamUs date of last contact is the 1st of January although she was in contact with people until, I believe, June of 2013. I have seen that sometimes with NamUs when it seems like LE don't have a specific date: the 1st of the month if they don't know when in a particular month, the 1st of January if they don't know when in a particular year.

I know she is not Hispanic but I tend not to assume that ethnicity is necessarily going to correct for unidentified persons unless it has been established by DNA sequencing or whatever you call it. Seems to be wide margin for error in that area, as well as in age estimates.

The missing poster on NamUs page says someone called Paul was asked to leave where she was staying at the same time that she was. The FB page that is linked to on her Charley Project page has missing persons posters that say she was last seen with him.
