Hi Margarita - I don't know why but when you wrote that I spit out my coffee. What if'ed to death I see!!! lol

I would like to add a What If of my own.. What if this psychopath is so typical looking that he's hiding in plain sight? He's so average, middle aged, and doesn't look like a murderer at all...... I'll be damned if I believe he just randomly found that location that looks to me very rural. With a community of 3,000 it's way too small to hide out in, so he probably doesn't live in Delphi, but he definitely knows the area...... What if he's a window cleaner???

Many have speculated he grew up in Delphi, or lived there at some time. I would think he would have been recognized? My guess is he has come in to Delphi for work. Perhaps a factory worker, or a traveling salesman selling tractor parts...that sort of thing.

In addition, one thing stays anchored in my mind. I believe this was well prepared in advance, and that he had catfished Abby. I dont think there is anything random about this at all.

I believe this is the link that Spistol is talking about. Sorry if this has already been posted, I haven't finished catching up on the thread.

Pretty sure it's this one: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3QUH4EkX-jc

I am not so sure. I think LE said they had made around 20 arrests on outstanding warrants due to this case. We obviously don't know who they all were. RL did not take the opportunity of bail and I have always wondered why, plus the high security and bulletproof vests when escorting him to and fro always seemed excessive but now I'm not so sure. Even the 3 years in jail seemed OTT to me rather than an ankle bracelet but perhaps his life was/is in danger. I really don't know but would not rule it out. JMO.

RL was never offered bail.....do you have a link that he was?

Someone on this thread posted a possibility but I cannot remember the post #. It was right around your original post. It has to be a horrible feeling. It happened in my neighborhood twice and both suspects were LE... It's scary!
It was me that posted. A swat team arrested someone in Muncie for a Kokomo murder I think it was but obviously I don't know if that was close to Rottmom or not.

Oh hi BT. Long time no hear. No I don't but you may remember we all thought it strange he didnt take up the bail but figured he would be getting 2 for 1 while awaiting sentence. If you go back to your posts around the time of the Court appearances (early April IIRC) you will find the links there. Interested in your thoughts on the sketch and eye and hair colour plus height and weight details given.?

Slightly o/t, but waaay in the early threads, there was discussion about the darkweb, TOR, etc (I had mentioned a likely connection to child *advertiser censored*):

"Audio Transcript

Mollie Halpern:*An international law enforcement operation results in the seizure of the largest criminal marketplace on the Darknet.

I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau with FBI, This Week.

AlphaBay sold illegal drugs, malware, and other illicit commodities on the Tor network, which conceals users’ identities and locations."

I use Tor on occasion not for anything nefarious but to keep hackers are bay. I'm not using it for WS though. It's a really strange place but I like the privacy features of it....

Great. Way to go LE. Back to the question "do they have dna from the CS?".

From margarita's post #514, it would appear they do:

Carroll County sheriff discusses Delphi murder investigation, says DNA evidence ‘fast-tracked’
http://fox59.com/2017/02/23/carroll-...-fast-tracked/

"Leazenby couldn’t address the specific forensics of the case, but he did say investigators were looking at all of the evidence, from statements made by individuals to physical clues. He said there were “several pieces to this huge puzzle.”

Leazenby did say investigators have asked for DNA evidence to be “fast-tracked.”

“I can’t go into the specifics because of the ongoing (investigation), that’s being expedited as best as it can be done,” he said."

I know LGTB people who use it so they can be out socially without jeopardizing jobs, family, etc.

You don't need to provide links for things that did not happen. You do need to provide links for things presented as fact. Do you have a link that RL was offered bail but refused?

I don't have a link, but I don't recall bail being an option. IIRC, he was held wo bail bc it was a probation violation, I think bail is rarely given in those circumstances. Moo

Man, the trail of bodies this monster has likely left...there's something out there somewhere he's done that we can't find or hasnt been proven....somehow this could be the key...

What is his connection to Delphi and this bridge area??? This is key, imo. (Same old questions and comments, sorry...trying to be as least repetitive as possible, but coming back to these same things...why was he in the area on Feb 13...gah I can't stand this...)

I don't know what we can possibly discuss that hasn't been discussed already...seriously, is there anything about this case that hasn't been discussed??

Eta: The plant still bugs me too, but LE would have that covered to infinity by now....I wonder if they've asked to see every pay check ever written to every employee...maybe the plant has minimal records. Maybe they hit a dead end with aliases, etc, or even locating some people...

I wish they'd release the shoe print information...obviously they haven't gotten a database hit on that assuming they got a clear imprint...

I'm dying to know COD and disposal method/condition of how those poor girls were left were left, understandably they can't release this, but this is a big part of the picture we "armchair detectives" are missing.

I feel your frustration. This is off the wall but I've had some serious debates with people about the possibility of creating a database of DNA on every legal person in this country after death. I realize all the pitfalls including violations of privacy. I also know that doing it after death would mean the person likely got away with it all, but it could close so many unsolved cases in this country.

In thinking this way I also thought of doing this at birth but that makes me nervous, but it would be practical. I know it's a crazy thought, but it bothers me that so many crimes go unsolved. It would seem prudent to close all those murder books...IMO

Correct, bail was not offered.

Yes I saw that but I feel they backtracked on that statement somewhat in later statements and interviews. They certainly mentioned forensics several times.
We know as of May they had only "some" of the forensic testing back, and were waiting for much more from the FBI's Virginia lab.

I didn't say he refused bail did I?
Go to page 12 of the media thread Liltexan has a post that states a bond of $5000 was set with 10% down. RL did not take advantage of that AFAIK but could have if he had wanted. Let me know if that post is not what you are looking for.
Eta. BTW my original post was JMO so I don't need to link however the Liltexan media post is fact.

Re: why that place on that day
Fwiw I really see it as me when i go garage saling. I can't be everywhere in a large metro.area, so I have to choose one or two suburbs/neighborhoods and cross fingers I hit some winners. I think that rec area was on his radar (due to its relative "merits"), and he simply chose it that day. He came prepared. He imho wasnt passing thru en route to wherever.

Yikes this sadly makes sense...like you hunting for garage sales/items, he is hunting for victims. Both would include not wanting to go somewhere where everyone else is. Which brings back the same question(s), how did he know to pick this place? Even locals have described it as remote and hard to find, we had one member actually go the bridge and she had a hard time finding it. Again, he's worked there before, hunted there before, fished, visited, lived....again, also curious about his exit route.

This MSM article suggests that the DNA would have been tested and completed long ago. A.d I would guess that they collected plenty for a full profile of perp. Maybe other forensics that will prove to be key here take longer (fibers, possible vehicle evidence that may exist).
