Re quote: Sleep in oz 8.3.2016 3.23 pm post (I have no idea how to reproduce it here) has the radio interview 3aw? snippet:

SR 'my dad was saying maybe we could do a bigger sale or something improve and she just yeah she just went ballistic about it'

But yes I agree with you re SR: likely an innocent victim in a horrendous mess

I'm trying the find the link that says the neighbours cameras did not see Karen walking from the house that day.

Exactly TGY, no mention of CCTV footage but I did find this:

"The husband of missing Melbourne mum Karen Ristevski claims home security cameras stopped working months before her disappearance.

The question of why the cameras at Karen's home did not catch her leaving the property have been raised during the investigation of her mysterious disappearance on June 29.

Neighbours also say they did not see her on the morning she vanished more than five weeks ago.

As rumours and confusion continue to surround the sudden disappearance, Karen's husband Borce moved to address one of the question marks on Sunday.

He revealed to the Herald Sun that the CCTV cameras at the family’s home in Avondale Heights had been not working since earlier in the year."

I found this one:

"Several neighbours would not talk about the case, however one confirmed he had spoken to police again last week about the availability of CCTV footage.

He told police his footage did not show Ms Ristevski on the day she disappeared, adding that parts of the case were puzzling."

The article linked below contains the following, but other articles about published the same day & around that time do not repeat this claim, so I suspect that this article isn't necessarily accurate :

"Mrs Ristevski took her purse and handbag when she left the home to cool off but neighbours did not see the woman leave on their CCTV footage and a neighbour believed the disappearance was strange."

http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/nat...e/news-story/0366c330e979904de756ab0fda6e2037

The other articles from the same day only say that neighbours did not see Karen on the morning in question & do not touch upon CCTV.

That's the one PI Thoughts.
The cameras did not pick her up 'leaving through the garage' as BR said.

Re KR and her personality, my mum had shopped in Bella Bleu a few times and said KR was always pleasant and helpful. I myself used to work at water gardens in one of the optometry shops and i know that the store always seemed empty. I think it had been struggling for a long time and I finished working at water gardens in 2013.

I have done a fair bit of FB sleuthing when it comes to friends of KR and all of them seem to be very passionately advocating for her in their own way and all have very kind things to say. Most friends have had KR's photo as their display photo at some stage. I think you'll find once a person is charged and it goes to court that all of the friends will be there in support of KR.

This old article hints that police were already on the right track IMO:

"Investigators handed out flyers and door-knocked the area on Wednesday, with one neighbour telling reporters Mr Ristevski had asked him about CCTV cameras around the time of his wife's disappearance.

The neighbour said Mr Ristevski looked worried and wanted to know whether cameras had captured which way his wife had walked away.
Detective Inspector Stephen Dennis would not say whether there was CCTV vision of Ms Ristevski in the area but said investigators were reviewing some video footage."

Wow it didn't open until 2012 did it?

[h=3]Macedonians in VictoriaEdit[/h]Macedonians have been migrating to Victoria since the late 1880s. Many "pečalbari" (the man in the family) decided to settle and they travelled the countryside looking for work as itinerant labourers. Others established market gardens or small businesses in both rural and city areas. Many thousands of Aegean Macedonians came to Victoria in the post war period, today the largest group of Aegean Macedonians can be found in Victoria. During the 1960s and 1970s they were joined by thousands of Macedonians from the Socialist Republic of Macedonia. In 1991, Macedonia declared its independence from the Yugoslav federation. Business migrants from Macedonia soon began to arrive in Australia. By 1986 there were 24,090 Macedonian language speakers in Victoria, this reached a peak in 1996 with 32,949 people using the Macedonian language at home. As of 2006 37, 434 people in Victoria had either full or partial Macedonian ancestry.[SUP][17][/SUP]
In 1994 the Victorian state premier Jeff Kennett ordered government departments and agencies to use the term 'Slav Macedonian' to describe such people. This was done as a measure to shore up electoral support from Victoria's large Greek Australian community.[SUP][18][/SUP] A court eventually repealed the decision in 1998 and since then the prefix "slavo-" has been dropped, on the basis of racial discrimination.[SUP][19][/SUP] In 2008, Trajce Atanasovski became the first Macedonian elected mayor in Australian state of Victoria.[SUP][20]

Thanks team
i was googling for the actual interview but I couldn't find it.

So BR never really made much money? If KRs shop was providing the family income
this would have been highly stressful for Karen. It's clear BR needed cash fflow and so his first option would be to expect it from KRs shop.

Karen's shop looked like it targeted mid-high end customers. Probably in the wrong locations but nevertheless rent at waterhatdens and broad meadows is affordable and her dresses would still sell to people in those areas for functions, weddings etc. to reduce pricing though by having a sale as such makes the store look cheap and leaves customers never wanting to pay full price because they will just wait for the sale.

Clearly BR didnt care about her business, just about the money.

Did Sarah say this in the radio interview?

Sarah said: “If anyone knows anything, even something small, please contact the police.
“Please respect our privacy. It’s getting really hard. We’re just a small family: me, dad, and mum. We miss her.”
