"There was no sign of a break-in, which led investigators to believe the killer or killers knew the layout of the Ramsey family home.
Now the ex-wife of a new suspect, Keith Schwinaman, has told Radar.com she cannot give a ‘100
per cent’ alibi to explain his whereabouts that night.
A year before the six-year-old was killed, Schwinaman pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault on a child, and was handed a four-year deferred sentence.
Speaking to the news site, Heather Kubes, Schwinaman’s ex-wife, said: ‘It wasn’t unusual for him to disappear for a few hours and have no explanation for it.

She added: ‘I have no idea what he was capable of. I think anything is possible.’
Ms Kubes also revealed that her former husband had often worn a cross necklace that belonged to her.
However, at some point between 1996 and 1998, the necklace disappeared.
Retired Boulder police detective Bob Whitson said: ‘If you look at JonBenét’s murder and Schwinaman’s crimes for just the methods of operation, a lot of similarities fit.

‘But what we didn’t have was any physical evidence against him.’
Police tested Schwinaman’s DNA while investigating another case, but it did not match that which was found on Miss Ramsey.
But Whitson pointed out Schwinaman, now 52, ‘always wore gloves’ while committing his crimes.
Yet while there is some evidence to suggest Schwinaman did kill JonBenét, it’s unlikely he will ever be charged with her murder.
This is due to a plea deal he made in 2003.

Despite the evidence pointing to Schwinaman as Ramsey’s killer, it’s unlikely he’ll ever be charged with her murder — because of the 2003 plea deal.
‘He was told that no homicides would be included in the deal, but if he didn’t confess to everything and they found out about it later, he could be charged,’ Mr Whitson said.
However, Schwinaman’s lawyer later struck an oral agreement with a deputy district attorney that promised authorities would not “pursue other cases” against the pervert, said Whitson.
Despite that, Whitson said Schwinaman’s DNA should be tested once more against the DNA found on Ramsey, because it’s been found that DNA ‘could come from various sources’.
A source has confirmed that Authorities do plan to retest DNA in the case."

Schwinaman's blood was originally drawn in June 2000 for the database.

Boy, does this sound familiar! John Mark Karr, anybody?

Excellent research, Tadpole.

If I had any belief in Bob Whitson's credibility, it's gone now.

Square Product Theatre Announces
12th Season Opener HOUSE OF GOLD
BroadwayWorld.com Jun. 27, 2017

The character of....

controversial, allegorical play "House of Gold,"
by Gregory S. Moss, which will open square product theatre's
12th season in a regional premiere July 29
A funny, frightening and surreal allegory about childhood trauma,
"House of Gold" explores American dreams of "whiteness,"
patriarchal failures and the cannibalistic nature of celebrity,
all through the eyes of JonBenét Ramsey,
whose story became a media obsession and enduring mystery
after she was murdered in 1996 in Boulder.
"We've thought long and hard about whether it was appropriate to
present this play in Boulder," says Emily K. Harrison, square product
theatre producing artistic director. "We understand that the subject matter
is difficult for our community, and we in no way wish to further sensationalize
the event or exploit the death of a child. We've sat with this play for a few years now, and ultimately decided to produce it because we believe it presents exactly the sorts of questions and challenges that our community needs in order to grow stronger,
and it does so powerfully and unapologetically."

Review: House of Gold Brings Back JonBenét Ramsey...but Why?

August 1, 2017

"As an impressionistic exploration of evil, a take on the sheer horror of JonBenét’s murder, House of Gold is absorbing and effective. But when it flattens this once-living-and-breathing child into a symbol, it does feel like a violation."

'House of Gold' eyes culture through lens of JonBenet Ramsey case
Show sometimes loses sight of real life character

07/29/2017

"In making pertinent and important points about the exploitation of young girls in American society, Moss' text and the current square product theatre production sometimes loses sight of the innocent individual at the center of it all. Amid questions about over-sexualization, parental negligence and the role of privilege, the play frequently pushes the line when it comes to respect for the dead, a trespass that seems to go against the purported artistic mission of the piece. The show crosses some uncomfortable lines in making its valid points."

Today (Sunday) on LMN:

2:00PM (EDT) Who Killed JonBenét? (2016)

Police investigate the murder of JonBenét Ramsey, a 6-year-old beauty queen who was found beaten and strangled in the basement of her Boulder, Colo., home on Dec. 26, 1996.

I'd never forget our special girl on her birthday. Happy birthday, JonBenet!

Happy Birthday Jonbénet, you would have been 27 today! Hard to believe how time flies.
