It is so distressing to me that the Bobo family felt the need to interview people they had been hearing things about. I can only imagine Mrs. Bobo would have been ballistic by January 2013.

Me too! I cannot imagine her panic, anguish, terror for Holly in those early days. And then to come to realize that the investigation is being botched and to have to take that on. It's too horrible!

[FONT=&]For those wondering, this is a verdict form. The jurors will use this to decide what Adams is guilty of or not.

[FONT="]These break down the possibilities of lesser charges, not guilty, etc.

Thank you for this. Interesting. Anyone thinking they'll go for the facilitation of 1st degree due to the lack of evidence on who really did the abduction?
Compromise verdict kind of thing.

I find it strange that papaw Adams stated that Dylan was in bed at his house when he left for work that morning, yet Jason stated Dylan a few hours later was in the doorway of Shayne's trailer with no shirt on. It was March and I don't think Dylan was running around shirtless that day. Somebody is lying and I don't think it was Papaw Adams.

There are 8 charges not including lesser alternatives. With what I saw at trial if there is a quick verdict I would find it suspect.

JMO

I just don't think Papaw Adams was that reliable.

Bless his heart.

And I mean that in the nicest way, really.

He did not even remember calling 911 at 9:30pm the day of Holly's abduction. What?! He had an exchange , back and forth, scared about how Zach Adams was acting wanting guns etc...

He also did not remember several other things when asked about them. Sorry I don't have specifics here....I just remember thinking..everything must be a blur to him since his Grandsons are on meth and his life is constantly bombarded by their craziness.

So he can't remember the 911 call that day of Holly's abduction but I'm supposed to believe he remembers Dylan Adams was at home and sleeping that morning? What?!

I don't think he remembers. If anything, and I have no judgement on him at all on this...but he may have been trying to protect his other Grandson, seeing as I'm sure Papaw Adams sees Zach Adams rule and influence on the younger and that Dylan is slower mentally and has been brought into now a murder case.

Don't get me wrong, Dylan was not in the right to participate...I just think it could be very real that his Grandfather was covering for him.

I don't believe he remembers Dylan sleeping if he doesn't remember a 911 call where he was audibly shaken and fearing for the worse with the guns, etc.

Defense put him up there because he was willing to speak, and not many were, but I find him unreliable.

Defense attorneys are very aware of their behavior/actions.

Since they are representing the Defendant, they treat him or her as you would when supporting someone you know through a difficult experience. Behavior such as smiling, patting shoulder of the Defendant all point to : see - this person is harmless. How could anyone think this person is guilty of anything?

Now, can you imagine if the Defense Attorney jumped or shrieked if the Defendant moved his arm close to her notepad?

The attorneys are well aware that the eyes of the jury are on them and they don't miss much!

Perhaps they are really hungry for lunch. I give the woman defense attorney credit for not punching Zach's face through out the whole trial because I wouldn't be able to hold my restraint for knocking him out . Good grief, for a woman to hear the horror that Holly endured. Wonder how she sleeps at night after defending a guy like this.

In many cases like this it seems the main defense attorney will be of the opposite sex as the defendant. When it is a female defense attorney I cringe when they openly smooze up to the defendant even stroking their back.

I realize that every defendant needs good representation but the play acting purposefully being done is creepy to me. Especially in cases like this where the defendant is a very horrible inhumane individual who did such deviant things to a helpless young woman.

Yet a lot of them pat them and stroke them as if they are choir boys. Its all for show intended to deceive the jurors, imo.

JT is fully aware of ZA history against women even beyond what he has done to Holly. It would take everything I had in me to just sit beside him as his defense attorney. I sure wouldn't be seen patting and stroking him when I know he has been so violent toward women.

I'm sitting here explaining, mulling this case over with my Grand doggy. She is staring at me. Ploughed thru half a can of mixed nuts. Never been a stress eater. Apparently today I am. If a verdict doesn't come soon I may need a rescue and an extraction. Lovely Pinio chilling if anyone cares to join me. Soon.

I forgot how both sides have to be present when the jury asks a question or has a request for some testimony to be read back.

Well said, bleuboy.

With so much local gossip and tips coming in, it is certainly difficult to believe that Dicus could unilaterally shut off that direction of the investigation towards those four names.

How much power did Dicus have? Even so, it is difficult to imagine within such an important agency that this abuse of power could have gone on for such a long period of time.

I agree that an investigation into how this was all handled in 2011 needs to be done.

I think it's easy to Monday morning quarterback. The TBI has district offices across the state and they have to trust the agents within their reporting structure to do things right. Very much like the FBI has field offices and the SAIC runs that office. As badly as Dicus screwed up, I don't for one minute think he intended to railroad someone into prison that didn't commit this crime. Dicus must have been very convincing since he was able to get a wiretap and bug Britt's house, too. Maybe Dicus former boss agreed with him. Maybe that's why he's the former boss. Or maybe he just retired and the new guy came in and said "whoa nelly, this can't happen".

Whatever else happened or didn't happen, some of the rank and file agents sucked it up, risked their careers, and took it up the chain. They deserve a HUGE amount of credit for that. It that had backfired, it would have been career killers for them. I have so much respect and admiration for the agents who did that. If not for them, we probably still would not be here.

I also agree that they should review what happened so it cannot happen again. They may have already done that., since Dicus was removed and his boss is no longer there. I hope they have.

Hopefully the judge can answer this one.

Believe me, when you sit on a gruesome murder case as a juror it takes a long time to get over it, and you never forget it fully. The images, whether of the crime scene or the discarded location of the victim showing the victim's body or skeletal remains or seeing them on the autopsy table it will remain with the jurors forever even if they try to push the memories aside. Yes, most likely they will have terrible nightmares. I know I did on both cases even before the trials had ended.

I have been a juror on two horrific murder cases. The third one I sat on was an assisted suicide done by the spouse of the man. One involved one victim and she was raped and murdered by a young 20 year old man who was her next door neighbor. It was a brutal rape and overkill. The other one was a death penalty case involving two young victims in their late 20s who were husband and wife. They were murdered by spree killers (3) who had come down in our area fleeing from the law in another state where they had killed another man for his vehicle. To this day I can see clearly all of their images in death, and I expect I always will. The cries, the anguish shown by their families in the courtroom does not go unnoticed by the jurors but we strictly looked at all the evidence only to come to our verdict.

Jurors will notice that ZAs grandfather sat down on Holly's side. Jurors are taking everything in that happens. They look closely at the witnesses' demeanor.

It has to be devastating for this jury to see the photo of such an alive beautiful vibrant young woman and then see her in death with so little remains being found for her family to even bury. :( All of these jurors have families themselves with some having daughters, granddaughters or sisters Holly's age.

They also watch the defendant very closely and his reactions or non-reactions during the course of the trial.

Prayers for the jurors and justice for Holly!

As a single mom, I can hardly sleep at night on just this case in trial, much less being a juror, I cannot imagine.

There have been several nights this past week where in the middle of the night, I think I have heard a noise, and my heart races and I swear I am picturing Autry or Zach and then I remember I am nowhere near their neighborhood and I laugh at my own ridiculousness.

This would be 20x worse for me if I were a juror!

I can only imagine your cases, oceanblueeyes. They sound terrible!

2 hours and a half left today for them to reach a verdict

I have a random OT question about spoof cards (I think that is what it was called). Don't think I had heard of that before this case. Anyway - if someone uses a spoof card to call my phone - and I don't answer but later hit redial - will my phone call back the actual number that dialed my phone or will it call the spoof number that was put in?

And she let him wear her husband's suits!!!!!!

I would have to tell my husband, after Zach wears all your suits, we are going to have to buy you a new wardrobe because I cannot go out with you wearing what I just saw a rapist, murderer in.

Date night just wouldn't be the same!

Not sure on the answer but given the defense cell expert it seems as though it will go back to the original number.
