I heard it was an M-Life card with her name on it. Are they now saying it was an actual ID? TIA

Hmm...good question. Maybe it was just a card with her name on it. I will have to go back and read again.

ETA: There are reports saying it was her ID but they do not elaborate on what type of ID.

From a earlier report the 2 platforms were used to line the guns up and make it easier to switch weapons. jmo

Wow, it definitely sounds like he put a lot of thought into this.

Here's a "what if".... What if he told her to go visit friends/family so he could do all the planning/executing of this without her getting suspicious?

I don't know if it was an AR or not but the newer AR's can take some abuse (if you pay for a quality one) I can say that from the vid I saw that was close to the shooter it sounded like an AR. From the vid down in the audience where it not as loud it sounded more like a Storm Carbine

In some videos, it sounded like a helicopter moo

Haven't been able to go through this entire thread yet but has a picture been shown of the shooter yet? Not sure why on TV news it hasn't as of yet...

My guess is that she left him.

Agree jjenny, if it's true that they were married, and if true they were going through a divorce, she decided to get out of town for her own safety.

heard on youtube live that there was so much smoke created from the gunfire it set off the smoke alarm and that is how the cops found his room so fast. Glad that happened or it may have been even worse

But why shoot at concert goers?? Would make more sense if he was disgruntled to shoot up employees or management

Being a Vegas local I imagine he would go after the Casino he had problems with. From her profile she had been gambling for numerous years so it might just be he self destructed in debt and took out as many as he could with him

Maybe. I'm wondering now if he thought he had a limited window of time to do this, i.e. when his partner was out of the country. In that case, he would probably just have picked the biggest event he could find going on, and then booked himself into wherever would give him the best vantage point?

If a large portion of the strip was under shelter-in-place orders last night I'm willing to bet they ALL lost a ton of money last night.

NBC News reports that Paddock was married and going through a divorce or otherwise splitting up with his wife, though it was not clear who that woman is. NBC also said it is not known if the marital issues played any role in the shooting.

Clark County court records show that Paddock sued a Las Vegas strip hotel in 2012. He filed the lawsuit against Cosmopolitan Hotels & Resorts Inc. in September 2012. The case was dismissed with prejudice on October 3, 2014, and then later settled through arbitration. Records show he was suing for “Negligence – Premises Liability.” Details about the case were not immediately available.

Good point. It's hard to say. Coming on the heels of the Ariana Grande incident not that long ago, it seems like a crazy choice for someone to make who didn't want to be thought of as a terrorist. But then, it's a crazy thing to do any way you slice it.

Paddock owned two aircraft, according to NBC News. Paddock appears to have worked as an accountant or auditor, ABC News reports. He also had a hunting license in Alaska, according to ABC.

He last had a medical examination in February 2008. “MUST HAVE AVAILABLE GLASSES FOR NEAR VISION,” the records state. He was living in Mesquite, Texas, in Dallas County, at the time.
