Just over four hours of deliberations and the judge is ready to say good night. One juror not feeling well and they are all hungry. Back at to deliberating Monday morn.

Can't blame them!! Are they allowed to have a cocktail? I think they deserve one.

Perhaps tomorrow will be the day :prayer:

I strongly disagree with this post. The verdict should come from trial evidence not emotional. While I have great empathy for the family and friends that is not how our legal system is suppose to work. But there is no doubt in my mind it will weigh heavy on jurors as they weigh the evidence. They have an incredible verdict to try to come together on. Over 4 hrs and so may long days they have so much in their heads. They by media accounts have requested and viewed some evidence again. Praying for a restful night for them all. JMHO

@XXXX No verdict tonight, I hope the jurors weigh heavily in how many nights of sleep her parents have lost. #JessicaChambers #JusticeForJessica

Most juries take an initial vote after going back. I would assume this one would be no different. So for them to be going over 4 hours there are differing of votes.

You strongly disagree with what post?

Totally agree. But I think the prosecution went "light" on this one to preserve the most necessary witnesses for the next trial. Either way, he will never get out, although a conviction for this one would be really great for the Chambers family.

why would these prosecutors go "light" on this trial? That does not seem right...who would the most necessary witnesses for the next trial be...if they had information in this trial they should have been here.

Reasonable doubt is not in my mind .
I think after weighing the evidence it is exponentially more likely he did it than he didn't do it based upon the strong circumstantial evidence Therefore, if I were a juror I would have to convict .
I hope that the juror who is not feeling well is a lone hold out .

One thing i am confused about. When case went to jury, judge excused alternates and said they were free. Don't they usually keep alternates until after verdict? What if a juror gets sick or has family emergency? Mistrial?

Until tomorrow, then. Good night, all!

I’m not arkansasmimi, but I too had to look twice as the post she quoted didn’t seem to work. It ended up at the bottom of her post, which you quoted. I believe she was objecting to this:

“@XXXX No verdict tonight, I hope the jurors weigh heavily in how many nights of sleep her parents have lost. #JessicaChambers #JusticeForJessica”.

Not wishing to speak for her, but I believe she’s saying she believes the jury should consider the evidence presented, versus the parents’ sleepless nights, although she empathizes. Just my interpretation.

You strongly disagree with what post?

I do. I take it for the jurors to consider the many nights the parents have lost sleep as to how they should arrive at their verdict. Maybe I misunderstood.

i have to think that they are in two camps...the Eric camp and the others....I fully expect them to ask the question if they think Quinton did this with someone else can they still find him guilty.

They must be exhausted. They've worked long days and with no breaks.
