30-year-old Patrick Rohal, from the South Side, was last seen around 8 p.m. on Nov. 18 along Carson Street near the Birmingham Bridge. Rohal is described as 5-feet-8-inches tall and approximately 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a black pea coat. Rohal is without his needed medication and he may appear to be confused..

Patrick went missing on the South Side. Same as Paul Kochu. The Birmingham Bridge crosses the Monongahela River. In the case of Dakota James, the bridge he would have taken to go to his apartment crossed the Allegheny River...both rivers meet at a point and form the Ohio River. Paul Kochu was found in the Ohio river. I really hope all these connections are wrong and it’s nothing but a coincidence. I just pray and pray Patrick is alive and OKAY

In the case of Dakota James, the bridge he would have taken to go to his apartment crossed the Allegheny River...
Both rivers meet at a point, and form the Ohio River.
Paul Kochu was found in the Ohio river.

Does anyone know what sort of medicine he depended on? Was it a mental health situation or more of a physical health situation? It is very worrisome that his jacket and glasses were found if true - depending on where they were found, could be a deliberate act.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has been looking at the Dakota James and Paul Kochu cases in-depth. I hope this doesn't end the same way.

Was he on foot? No vehicle involved? Are there bars around there? With all the disappearances of young men in that area, the city should install cameras. Too many "accidental drownings."

The fact his glasses were found is the most concerning. That's something he would need regardless of what he was doing. I hope he is found soon.

There are tons of bars around there - the South Side and particularly, Carson St. is known as one of the biggest party areas in Pittsburgh, lots of college students/young people go there to party. Carson St. itself has lots of security cameras, but the Birmingham Bridge, I don't know. I do remember that in the Dakota James disappearance, the issue of non-working security cameras was a big one, and the city did pledge to get those fixed.

If you search for “Pittsburgh Bureau of Police” on Facebook, second to last comment someone asks about the cameras. The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police responded back with “We did & are continuing to review surveillance video.”

It doesn’t say specifically what area they are reviewing, but at least the police are this time.

Dakota was near Station Square (five miles away from the Birmingham Bridge) and was last seen near the Cultural District.

The night he disappeared, Mr. James, 23, of Frederick, Md., and a friend were barhopping and had gone to several establishments throughout Station Square and Downtown. He was last reported seen on a Downtown security camera in the Cultural District after parting ways with the woman.
