Early reports were last seen at 6:45. More info was released and they have updated it to last seen at 11:30 pm and reported missing at 6:45 am.

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (KVII) — An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 3-year-old girl out of North Carolina who authorities believe to have been abducted.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reports Mariah Woods was last seen in her bed at home at 11:30 p.m. Sunday. She was reported missing at 6:45 Monday morning.



NCMEC describes Woods as a white female who is 2'9" tall and weighs around 28 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes and when she was last seen in her bed, she was wearing pink and white panties.

"The abductor is unknown at this time, with an unknown direction of travel," NCMEC said.

Only wearing pink and white panties???? It was cold last night, in the 30's.

Was she abducted from her bed? Were all doors and windows found locked when family discovered her missing? Any signs of forced entry?

How common/rare is it that a child is snatched from her bed at night by a stranger? Doesn't happen often I think?

Fearing an insider 'job' ....

I'm also wondering if scent/cadaver dogs are being used in the search.

I rarely post here but this is only an hour from me and she looks like my 3 yr old daughter I hope and pray she is found safe!

It seems to me she was last seen in bed, they realized she was missing in the morning. IMO

At least three to four Onslow County Sheriff's Department vehicles were on the scene. Onslow County Communications flew a drone in the area to aid in the search. A helicopter from New Hanover County Sheriff's Office also conducted aerial support."

LE have interviewed mother and (sigh) live-in boyfriend, searched their house and car. All I can say is keep searching the woods...

Early reports had it wrong when they said last seen at 6;45 am. The mother is claiming that she put her to bed last night and she was not there when she checked this morning. There are also some reports that she went to sleep in her Pjs but they were found beside the bed when she was discovered missing.

She is missing from Dawson Cabin Road in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

The girl's mother and live-in boyfriend and authorities are searching a wooded area near their home.

The child's grandmother said that Mariah's mother checked on her about 9 or 10 p.m. Sunday and she was in bed. The mother went to check on her Monday morning and Mariah was gone. The child was last seen about 6:45 a.m. Monday.

The Amber alert that was just displayed on my TV in Raleigh, NC stated Mariah has brown hair. Other media stated she has blonde hair, and from pics of her, she clearly has blonde hair.

Hunter said Mariah normally wears orthopedic braces on both feet and when she is without them she doesn’t walk straight.

Was Mariah adopted? It says "adoptive grandmother" did the bf adopt her? Any mention of biological dad?
