I bet Wilber would never have come into the picture if Sydney's phone hadn't pinged there.
These two had to make up a story about Sydney being dropped off at a friend.

If the phone had not pinged, this Trail creep might not have been known about either.

BB would likely have told LE that she dropped her off back home or at a shopping mall in Lincoln.

If BB and AT are under arrest would that give them access to their phones? If that’s the case maybe that’s where they are getting these search locations from?

After watching the two POI's videos it makes me so happy that these idiots did that because it's how they found themselves facing LE now. Criminals are stupid and that stupidity will always get them caught.

The BB video stating that she dropped Sydney off after the date at a friends house makes absolutely no sense since any friend of Sydney's friends would have stated that Sydney had come to her/his house after the date. What a crock of bleep....

Who do you mean, LE or the POI's? Once in police custody POI's no longer have access to their phones or SM and LE does or will get warrants to do a data dump on both phones..... So hopefully that will answer your question.

You don't need a Facebook account for tinder anymore. You can just put in your phone number now.

Then, this is the reason for AT mentioning BB's Tinder phone. She was using it for business. Whatever that business might be. MOO.

I am thinking it is because they have 'connections in multiple states'. That was mentioned when the news broke that they were looking for these 2. See post 182-185.

Maybe LPD or SCSO requested their (FBI's) assistance. I think that is enough to trigger the feds involvement: multi-state charges.

MOO

I believe FBI always gets involved when it's a possible abduction/kidnapping or multi state crime spree...

So to hold them for what? Someone earlier said they couldn't be arrested on suspicion - they had to have evidence. So what would the evidence be for them being on a "federal hold" and is that the same as being arrested and charged? How serious is it?

These two can be arrested and held because they have previous warrants. The female POI, for example, didn't show up for a court date. The male POI has warrants of his own. These warrants are for other crimes, not in regards, yet, to Sydney's disappearance.

Did they say what these two (POI's) drive around? It would be helpful to know what vehicle. Maybe someone saw the vehicle stop somewhere or something the day of her disappearance or near it?

That article was written by a doctor. Do you have a source for your information or is it from your own experiences ? I have heard people who have had extreme reactions from taking too much at one time. Just wondering, as it doesn't seem like there is too much actual statistical info about it. For instance, can one smoke, on a daily basis, and drive legally and hold down a job, in a state where it is legal to smoke? Do/can those states test drivers for driving under the influence of marijuana/THC? Eg. Bailey drove Sydney home/to a friends after smoking wax and shatter - would she have been driving illegally in that case?

The difference between smoking regular weed and extracts through conventional methods is based on personal experience. The difference between either of the above and smoking a dab rig is based on a number of friends I have who have done so, some of which have done it just a couple times and a couple who smoke dabs regularly.

In any case, if it came across like I was disputing the article's accuracy, I apologize. That wasn't my intention. I do think the article is generally accurate, it's just oversimplified.

As to the question of driving, that's a pretty weird issue and legal marijuana is new enough that it hasn't really been sorted out. Some states have an actual THC level test (I think a blood test?) for drivers, but as you said, daily smokers would be unlikely to pass the test due to residual THC in their system. (The "threshold" isn't zero THC, but it's low enough that daily smokers would be highly likely to be over the line even if they hadn't smoked that day). So it's a really tricky issue. I'm not a daily smoker, nor do I drive when I'm high, so thankfully I don't really have to worry about it.

I think the way it's typically enforced is if someone a.) can't pass a field sobriety test (and I think they have ones specific to drugs that are different from a standard alcohol field sobriety test) AND b.) is found to have marijuana in their system, then they get a DUI. In this particular case, I'm very confident that Bailey would have been driving illegally.

A helicopter spent several hours Friday making passes along the Big Blue River and over nearby fields near Wilber. On the ground, a small caravan of law enforcement made its way to a wooded area along the riverbank.

A hunter said he was hunting along the river a few days ago - in the same area - and saw strange vehicle tracks near the water. He said: "I saw where a vehicle backed down to the water. What kind of vehicle it was, I don't know."

The FBI search teams are operating under the assumption that Sydney could still be alive. He said: "Any information anybody has, we want to make sure we get that... We're following it to make sure we can find her and bring her home to her family."

The FBI has set up a special hotline for information in the Sydney Loofe case: 402-493-8688, Option #1.

They keep saying they think she could still be alive, but they drained a pond and are looking in bodies of water. I just don't feel good about this. She's been missing for three weeks now. It is cold out, especially at night. I pray they find her alive and well.

Also speaking of extreme reactions, I remember this story from earlier this year:

I don't know if there was a discussion on here about it, I read about it elsewhere, but yeah. No thanks on dabs for me.

Sorry should have clarified, I meant does that give LE access to the phones. Edit: sorry guys for some reason I’m struggling with replying directly

Why are the feds involved? Is it because the two crossed state lines while LE was looking for them? I'm not getting the Federal aspect to the charges. Help me out!

tia

LE hasn't addressed this directly via MSM however given that these towns are small, local LE manpower may be limited. Also, take into account there are several counties involved which would allow the Omaha FBI to cast a wider net with technology and other resources. The closest statement from LE regarding the FBI is in this article

BB is being held on a failure to appear warrant out of Lincoln, NE and AT is being held on a 'sealed warrant' for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. They have posted videos saying they're being hunted when in reality they are running. BB states she was with SL the last time law enforcement has been able to confirm her whereabouts.

The US Marshalls are the ones who escorted these 2 back to NE so I'm tempted to give weight to the Federal officials because they have more details and information than what is being stated via MSM.

If these 2 are really innocent then ask yourself, why were they running?

Not only running, but BB dyed her hair blonde and covered it up in the videos.

I know why they are running. They are involved. The FBI knows it, and all LE knows it. We don't know what evidence LE has, but they have enough to know they are not getting the real story.

My thoughts are that these two are probably going through some major drug withdrawal about now. Maybe when they "sober" up, LE can start getting the truth. I just hope it isn't too late.

[FONT=Roboto, arial, sans-serif]I hope Sydney is found. This is so heart-wrenching

There was an unsolved homicide (beaten and strangled) where a 34 year old man named Hai Sinh Nguyen was found dead in Big Blue River near Beaver Crossing in 2014. Hope this is not what happened to her as they're searching that river. Any idea what way the water runs?
