Dec 1: Two hunters discovered a decomposing body on Thursday afternoon in Wayne County, state police said.
Hunters found the body about 4:30 p.m. off of Goose Pond Road, south of Everly Road.
The condition of the body made immediate identification impossible, but state police believe the body is male. The man was wearing blue jeans, a tan T-shirt and black/red Under Armor briefs, state police said.
The body was in advanced stages of decomposition, Wayne County Coroner Edward Howell said.
An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for today.

SALEM TOWNSHIP - The identity and circumstances concerning human remains found by hunters off Goose Pond Road, Thursday, November 30, were being investigated by authorities.
PA State Police, Honesdale, issued a report late Thursday that the two hunters found the remains at approximately 4:30 p.m. off Goose Pond Road, approximately a half mile south of Everly Road in Salem Township, Wayne County. The condition of the remains rendered immediate identification impossible.
The decedent was described as a “probable male” wearing blue jeans, a tan T-shirt and black and red Under Armor briefs.
Additional information was expected following an autopsy which was tentatively scheduled for December 1st.
The PA State Police at Honesdale are conducting the investigation in conjunction with the Wayne County Coroner’s Office and the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office.

In a subsequent release from PSP, the unidentified male is
[FONT=&amp] approximately in his 20′s or 30′s in age, between 5′9″ – 5′11″ in height with a large build, 200+ lbs. The release states the male ”....had brown hair that was in a ponytail.”

[/FONT][FONT=&amp]Police said a ”... a large unidentifiable tattoo...” is located on the left calf that ”...has several spots with bright green ink.”[/FONT][FONT=&amp]
