Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a missing St. Helens man who has not been seen since Feb. 26.

Charles Daniel Styers, 48, left for work early on the morning of Feb. 27, but he did not show up, police said. He has not returned home.

His vehicle, a black Ford Escape, was found at about 10 a.m. on Mar. 1, parked near the Scappoose Vernonia Highway at the entrance to the Scaponia Park.

Styers works in Hillsboro at a business off Cornelius Pass Road.

He is 5-foot-6, 145 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He wears glasses and has a tattoo of an American flag on his left forearm.

His car was found almost the opposite direction from his work. :(

Police said Charles Styers left for his job in Hillsboro around 3 a.m. Tuesday, but he never showed up.

Dustin and Sarah Cluff said Styers is a great friend to them. They say he’s an amazing father, a veteran and an outdoorsmen.

The couple said Styers is a single father with a 12-year-old daughter who completely relies on her dad.

Meanwhile the search for Styers continues, K-9 teams and search and rescue crews met near Scaponia Park where Styers’ car was found.

Search and rescue crews are asking that people do not go out searching for Styers. They’re asking for people to stay away from their search area and to leave this search to the experts.

Can't imagine he would leave his daughter all alone on purpose. So sad. Hope he found safe!

Oh prayers for his little girl
