DC DC - Relisha Tenau Rudd, 8, SE DC, 26 Feb 2014 - #9

Glad you felt the same way that I did.
Here we are starting a new year. Maybe this will be the year in which Relisha's story can be told with a happy ending.

Police find no evidence of Relisha at Anacostia Park :(

A Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson said they received information that potential evidence related to the case was found in the area of Anacostia Park. Investigators began searching the park for that evidence on Friday morning. Police divers also searched the Anacostia River. Investigators say all searches came up negative and no evidence was found. Officers concluded their operations around 12:30 p.m.

What's sort of odd is that Relisha's disappearance was shared in a public Facebook post back in 2014 by Jholie Moussa, a teen who went missing recently; her body was finally found today in Alexandria, VA...the same day that they started looking for Relisha based on new info. Jholie's body was found after police searched a park (for the second time, not sure if based on a tip?) in Alexandria, VA, across the river from where they're looking in the water for Relisha (about 14 miles away) based on a tip. Just caught my eye as perhaps a very sad coincidence. I hope the tip to find Relisha is credible and they find her soon.

Hmmmm that is quite a coincidence.

I didn't notice that anyone else had posted this information. Relisha's father (Antonio Wheeler) and grandmother (Melissa Young) took lie detector tests for The Steve Wilkos Show that seemed to indicate they did not know what happened to Relisha. Her mother (Shamika Young) declined the test.

I watched this episode. If anyone hasn't seen it I highly recommend it. It's still in my DVR and although lie detectors are not admissible I felt like she definitely has guilty knowledge. The way she presented herself to me IMO spoke of her guilt.

If someone can give a run down, it will be awesome. I can read, but try not to listen much because of little ears.

Wonder if the informant(s) in Relisha's case is/are any of the Lyles family? I wonder what they are up to now. Seems their arrest records are still piling up.
