Surprised that there isn't a thread for this case yet, though it is still developing. Billy Chemirmir is a Kenyan immigrant who moved to the US in 2003, and began working in the healthcare field in the Dallas, TX area. Working as a home healthcare worker or posing as a maintenance man, Chemirmir would gain entry to the homes elderly women before smothering them with a pillow and stealing their valuables. Texas authorities believe there could be many victims, and are currently reviewing the deaths of 750 elderly women in Dallas, Frisco, Plano, and Richardson. A search of Chemirmir's home revealed "a memorial flier for a 79-year-old woman who died in 2016", a large collection of women's jewelry, and cell phones.

Confirmed Victims

-Billy Chemirmir was arrested on March 20, 2018 and charged with murder. He was already under police surveillance when he was seen throwing a jewelry box into a dumpster. The box belonged to 81-year old Lu Thi Harris, who was found smothered to death in her North Dallas home. Some of her valuables were found in Chemirmir's home.

Other Victims

-Police are also investigating an indecent that took place in Plano on March 19, 2018, in which a man matching Chemirmir's description pushed his way into the apartment of a 91-year-old woman and tried to smother her with a pillow in her bed. A friend called 911 after finding her unconscious and the woman later said her jewelry was stolen. Authorities said multiple elderly women — who were ailing and living alone — have recently died at the same complex as in the Plano attack, the Morning News reports.

-On October 29, 2018 in Frisco, a man disguised as a maintenance worker forced his way inside the home of a 93-year-old woman. The man grabbed a pillow and attempted to smother the woman, before stealing her jewelry box and fleeing.

-As mentioned above police found a memorial flier for a 79 year old woman who died in 2016 in Chemirmir's home, along with a large collection of women's jewelry.

-The Collin County Medical Examiner had recently raised a “red flag” after several older women died at a particular nursing home, and all the deceased lived on the same floor. Chemirmir had also been given trespass notices in 2016 at a retirement community after being accused of posing as an employee.

Another likely victim has been identified:

-88 year old Catherine Probst was found dead in her bed on April 8, 2016. Blood was found in her bed, and family noticed some of her jewelry was missing. Despite this, the death was ruled to be natural causes. Probst lived at the Edgemere Retirement Community in Dallas. This is the same retirement community Chemirmir was arrested at in 2016 after posing as an employee.

Former nurse is charged with murder as cops probe his involvement in A THOUSAND unexplained deaths and attacks

Sorry and no offense meant towards the facilities where the elderly were killed ... but how the heck did he possibly murder a thousand ?
Were there no cameras at the retirement facility ?
There should be sec. cams.
And no one became suspicious after, say, the first 25 ???

Phyllis Payne's family thought that she had died of natural causes. There was no reason to be suspicious when the spunky Texas grandmother, who had been spending the last years of her life in a retirement community in Dallas, passed away in April 2016 at the age of 91. "When they discovered her, they said she looked like she had just died in her sleep," her daughter, Loren Adair, told WFAA.

Years later, an unexpected call from a police detective would change everything. As Payne's family learned, authorities now believe that she was murdered by Billy Chemirmir, who had been posing as maintenance worker at senior living facilities across the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
A jewelry box led police to revisit hundreds of deaths. They may have found a serial killer.

Accused Illegal Serial Killer Given Green Card After Overstaying Visa

28 May 2019

"An accused illegal alien serial killer who has been charged with murdering 12 elderly women overstayed his visa, was never deported, and was able to obtain a green card....

A law enforcement source confirmed to Breitbart News that Chemirmir first arrived in the U.S. on a B-2 visa — commonly known as a tourist visa — in July 2003. Though Chemirmir was supposed to only temporarily be in the U.S., he overstayed his visa and became an illegal alien who was eligible for deportation.

Rather than being deported, however the illegal alien was able to use a loophole in the country’s legal immigration system that allowed him to obtain a green card after marrying a U.S. citizen.

In November 2007, Chemirmir was approved for a green card allowing him to permanently resettle in the country..."

6 New Alleged Victims of Dallas Senior Living Murder Suspect Named in Suit, Bringing Total to 18 (with clip)

Jun 26, 2019

"A new series of lawsuits allege a serial murder suspect's path of violence through Dallas and Collin counties was even wider than previously believed.

Billy Chemirmir, 46, was already accused of killing 12 elderly women in Dallas and Collin counties. The lawsuits allege six more elderly victims, including one man.

Family members filed the six separate lawsuits Tuesday against The Tradition-Prestonwood, an upscale senior living complex where eight of the people died. The complex is operated by The Tradition, a company that owns four senior living communities in Dallas and Houston....

Chemirmir is being held in the Dallas County jail, with bail set at $11.6 million. He was arrested in March 2018 after a woman identified him as the man who attacked her and he was linked to the death of a Dallas woman....

Authorities believe the previously identified victims were smothered with a pillow while alone in their apartments or homes. The suits say the five new alleged female victims at The Tradition-Prestonwood died under similar circumstances....

Chemirmir hasn't been charged in connection with the latest allegations, but the lawsuits say police have told the families that cellphone evidence connects him to the cases.

"There is no question in our mind or in the police's mind that these six are victims of Billy Chemirmir," Wishnew said.

He said that new indictments are likely to be handed down soon — including more in addition to the 18 alleged victims already disclosed. ...

The suits list the following as newly identified victims:

Joyce Abramowitz, 82, who died July 18, 2016
Leah Corken, 83, who died Aug. 19, 2016
Glenna Day, 87, who died Oct. 15, 2016
Juanita Purdy, 83, who died July 31, 2016
Solomon Spring, 89, who died Oct. 1, 2016
Margaret White, 86, who died Aug. 28, 2016

The deaths of all the women were also tied to missing jewelry in their apartments. The suits claim that staff at The Tradition-Prestonwood shrugged off those claims when family asked about the valuables.

Lawsuit Suggests Suspected Serial Killer Billy Chemirmir May Have Taken More Lives

Thank you for the update, YesOrNo. The potential number of victims is astounding. So sad.

Did he work at multiple facilities? I would think that the missing jewelry in multiple deaths would have given the facilities pause, but maybe that's not that uncommon??

Daughters Behind New Lawsuit Linked To Accused Serial Killer Bill Chemirmir Speak Out (with clip)

"Humor, sass and smiles – that's how the daughters of Juanita Purdy, Leah Corken and Glenna Day want them remembered.

Yet, they are haunted by their final moments.

The three women were all friends and neighbors on the fourth floor of The Tradition-Prestonwood in Dallas.

They all suddenly died during a three-month span in 2016. The Dallas County Medical Examiner ruled their deaths as natural causes.

Yet, now their families believe they were all smothered to death by suspected serial killer Billy Chemirmir.

"I want justice for mom. We all want justice for our mom," said M.J Jennings, daughter of Leah Corken.

In lawsuits filed against The Tradition-Prestonwood, the daughters claim the senior living community failed when it came to security and repeatedly allowed a serial killer to enter the property...."
