GUILTY - Sidney Moorer trial, Obstruction of Justice, Heather Elvis, 28 Aug 2017 #2 *Appeals Denied*

Moorer's wife, Tammy, also was charged with kidnapping in relation to Elvis' disappearance, and the trial date has not been set, according to online court records. Her indictment Friday also was under a different court case number than her original kidnapping charge.

Ok, so what are we looking at here? Different court case number than the original charges, and the original charges have no planned trial date? Can someone please help me understand what the strategy is?

Wondering the same thing. Will the cases be tried at the same time? So many questions!

The other thread closed, but wanted to bring up the gas station cash thing. In SC, they have them, at least they do in the Charleston area. They’ve been here for years. Took a picture of one today. Now, I don’t know if I buy what Sidney said, but they do exist. I want to say they’ve been here for 10 or so years.

Hi Niner, well, Sid is getting off real easy on the obstruction jail time. I hope as soon as he gets out, he has to stand trial for kidnapping and he gets the same sentence as his wifey. Would be a small measure of justice for the Elvis family. They deserve to lay their daughter to rest as well as know what happened to her that fateful December night. The Moorers still have Heather, as Debbi Elvis stated after Tammy's conviction.

Here’s when Sidney Moorer could be paroled for obstructing Heather Elvis investigation

Sidney Moorer could be out of prison as soon as this week if he is granted parole.

The accused kidnapper is set for a parole hearing on Tuesday (11/27) of Heather Elvis in 2013 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Sidney Moorer was also charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping in connection to the case. His first trial ended in a hung jury, and he has not been retried on those counts.
[.....]
While Sidney could be granted parole this week, his Department of Corrections information reports lists his projected released date as Nov. 19, 2021.

Okay, so his parole hearing is set for tomorrow still? (Nov. 27) .. if Sidney, say he does "crack" and take a plea towards his next trial, when would we, the public, hear of that?? would we know something was in the works behind the scenes, or would we only find out during his retrial for kidnapping??? I keep looking for leaked news!!

Today will be the first parole hearing for Moorer. This means he's served 25 percent of his sentence, which has made him eligible, by law, to potentially be released on parole.

Terry and his wife Debbie, plan to attend Tuesday's parole hearing but say a denial of parole won’t be a victory but will be another step forward in his daughter’s case.

If Moorer is granted parole, he could be released within the next 3 to 6 weeks. The parole board is made up of seven members and two-thirds of the vote need to rule in favor of Moorer in order for him to be paroled.

Sidney Moorer could be granted parole

Is there somewhere we can check for results of the parole hearing, or are we at the mercy of the media?
