Her husband was found guilty in 1993 of murdering both his first wife and Carol:

Miller was convicted of killing his first wife, Crystal, who disappeared in 1984, and his second wife, Carol, who hasn't been seen since May 1989.

Neither body has been found.

Marion County Deputy District Attorney Dianne Middle said it may be the first case in the country in which someone was convicted without evidence of a corpse, a confession or physical evidence of any kind from a crime scene.

Although it’s not relevant to finding Carol’s body, Gerald Miller lost an appeal this year to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

He is 80 years old and serving life sentences. It would be nice if he would disclose the location of these poor women’s bodies before he dies.

According to news media sources Carol's missing date is 05/21/1989 the May 30, 1989 date must be when she was actually reported.
