UPDATE | It appears from reports on the ground that it’s mission complete! The Wild Boars have freedom. What a remarkable story... of endurance, camaraderie, faith, belief and hope. Humanity is a beautiful thing #ThamLuang

I think it was the Brits, Thai Seals, Americans etc etc, a group effort. But if not for the Brits who initially found them, this would be a different story. So kudo's to all, but bless those two Brits that surged forward and found them on that ledge. From their the hero's are endless, every race, religion and country....hero's one and all.

My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude, and I am amazed by how these children have transfixed the world and brought us all together in love.

These children are agents of change, the peacemakers! This is an incredible vote for humanity.

The Tham Luang cave complex will be closed to the public

For a while, at least

Thailand's prime minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said it'll be closed until "everything is in order".

He said in the future, the entrance and exits to the cave complex will be monitored and more lights and warning signs will be installed inside.

"This cave has become world famous," he said.
Live: More boys rescued from flooded cave, end of mission in sight

I thought it was Thai Navy Seals who performed these rescues?

It was a combined international effort. However, there were some super-elite cave divers there, again, from a few countries. Cave diving is so super-specialised that it is a very, VERY niche activity. Read up on it a bit; you'll be gobsmacked. When I first got into it a few years back (as an armchair enthusiast, not a diver) I spent weeks, months, years following the "sport". (I am not dismissing it as a "sport", different strokes for different folks.)

Yes, well they better close that cave until they can assure safety or we’ll need copycat rescues.
