She's nurturing. She's a Harry Potter fan. We all know Mollie Tibbetts' face, but her friends and family say she's so much more.
Katie Murphy, the longtime principal of Corpus Christi, a Catholic school in the East Bay region, checks three times a day for updates on her former student. She says Tibbetts was "sweeter than a button" when she attended her school from kindergarten to second grade.

In Murphy's school office in Piedmont, California, Christmas cards from Laura Calderwood and photographs of the three Tibbetts siblings hang on a wall. In her first-grade school picture, Mollie wears a pink bow.

"There wasn’t a mean bone in her body," Murphy says of Tibbetts in her younger years. "You couldn’t help but just love her."

Mollie Tibbetts' father to return home after month of searching

The father of missing college student Mollie Tibbetts is set to return home after an excruciating month of trying to find his vanished daughter, The Des Moines Register reported Sunday. '

Rob Tibbetts plans to fly home to the San Francisco area.
The father has been on the road for the last month looking and raising awareness about his missing daughter. Together with Mollie’s boyfriend, Dalton Jack, and her aunt, he recently travelled to the Iowa State Fair to pass out buttons, T-shirts and missing-person flyers.

“Nothing is too big or too small,” Tibbetts’ boyfriend said. “Just let the authorities decide what’s worth investigating.”

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says a press conference will be held at 5 p.m. in Montezuma regarding the search for Mollie Tibbetts.

Officials won't confirm anything right now, but say a significant amount of information will be shared.

Iowa DCI says they plan to release a press release later this morning.

Mollie Tibbetts, missing Iowa college student, found dead

CBS News has learned that Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts has been found dead, just over a month after she was reported missing. The 20-year-old was last seen July 18, jogging near her home in the central Iowa town of Brooklyn. Her disappearance set off a massive investigation and weeks of fruitless searches.

Her family reported her missing the day after she disappeared when she didn't show up for work.

Last week, authorities said they were focusing their investigation on five areas in and near Tibbetts' hometown. Those areas reportedly included her boyfriend's home in Brooklyn, a car wash, a truck stop, a farm more than three miles from downtown Brooklyn, and another farm more than six miles away.

Reports: Missing Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts' body found

Greg Willey, the vice president of Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa, said the body is believed to be Tibbetts but would provide no other details. Her father, Rob Tibbetts, declined to confirm the information.

A reward fund for information leading to her safe return had grown to more than $400,000, Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa said. Wiley said the money will be used for information that helps authorities track down anyone who might have been responsible for her death.

Medical examiner arrives on rural road south of Brooklyn

The State Medical Examiner's vehicle has arrived on a rural road south of Brooklyn.

A DOT truck is blocking the gravel road south of Interstate 80, but KCCI says they have seen law enforcement officers in the area.

According to the newspaper, no one was brought into custody at the local jail overnight. No arrest of a suspect has been announced.

According to WHO-TV, the location was previously searched.

It’s an area that includes several farms and a wildlife area, and the authorities were working at a location with a gravel road.
