*Prelim Hearing (@ 11am ET) – NY – Selena Hidalgo-Calderon (18) (May 16, 2018; found deceased 5/23/18) & Owen Hidalgo-Calderon (14 mos) (May 16, 2018; still missing) – Everardo Donoteo-Reyes aka Alberto Ebarado Gutierrez-Reyes (25) (BF) – arrested & charged (5/24/18) with tampering with physical evidence (Class E felony). $25K cash or $50K bond.
5/29/18 Update: Sheriff Virts says he believes Donoteo-Reyes, who also goes by the name Alberto Ebavardo Gutierrez-Reyes, was involved in his girlfriend’s death. Donoteo-Reyes is scheduled to reappear in court on 7/2/18.
Alberto Reyes, "found her dead body, removed her from her home and buried her." Trail cameras provided by a neighbor show Reyes walking in and out of the woods for five hours with a shovel. He did not admit to killing Selena Hidalgo-Calderon. He did not make mention of Owen.
6/1/18: Deputies said he could face more charges once the results of an autopsy are released.
5/28/18: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, also known as ICE, says it has filed to have a man suspected in the death of the Sodus mother and the disappearance of her young son turned over to the federal agency. ICE says 25-year-old Gutierrez-Reyes is an illegally present citizen of Mexico. An official said Monday a detainer filed late last week will ensure Gutierrez-Reyes is turned over to ICE once any local charges are settled. 5/29/18: Case goes to Grand Jury.
6/4/18: Federal Immigration hearing charged with re-entering U.S. illegally after being deported twice (arrested in Louisiana Fall of 2016, deported & March 2017 arrested in Texas, deported again), will be held w/o bail. Also charged with using falsified Soc. Sec. & Alien residency cards. Federal hearing in August. Both State & Federal cases will move ahead at the same time. He faces up to 10 years in prison on these charges. If found guilty in either case, will serve his sentence in U.S. before being deported upon his release.

7/16/18 Update: Next hearing 9/21 re arguments about statements Reyes made to Sheriff investigators are admissible in court. (Not charged with murder yet, also faces Federal charges for re-entering U.S. illegally.
