I agree about him having a young son, working in his favor with the jury. The Dominoes receipt was showing he was with his son, at a friends home, ordering pizza, with HIS Credit card.

So that paints a real different picture of the 2 brothers. Daryl seems to have a more stable, responsible life at this point, having a credit card and a son and friends to visit and order a pizza for the,... Darren had nothing like that going on.

I wonder if the state tried to locate the pizza delivery guy? He would be able to identify him.

No matter what..just like Zen posted.. no other person has been positively identified being inside the murder scene but DW. They were able to get a irrefutable complete DNA profile that belongs to him and him only.

I think the state will be fine. The more options the jury is given the less the defense will have on appeal.

Hmmmm IIRC DW’s van wasn’t burned for another day or so - that must’ve been DW burning his ‘pile of debris including zipties’ near the spot where he’d burn the van a day or so later, where DrrW would take LE after DW attest.

It wasn’t burning AS’s car (figure on video w bucket) - that was hours earlier & different location.

Maybe I'm mistaken... I was thinking bucket video was related to Porsche burning

ETA: Nevermind... I could be lost!

The wints are animals. Stabbing someone so they do not testify in court, gas for fires for destroying evidence, a mother and father and their little boy savagely murdered, a house cleaner savagely murdered. The wints are nothing more than feral animals.

Reactions: IDK
People have died from inhaling gas fumes inside an enclosed area.

I have never heard of anyone putting gas in a plain 5 gallon bucket unless it may have had a sealed top on it.

If he had gas in an open bucket the gas would be sloshing up and out the sides unless he had a 5 gallon bucket and only put a little gas in it at the bottom.

It wouldn't take much to ignite the fire since it's highly flammable.

Maybe his brother means some other kind of bucket. Wish they would show a photo like the one he had.

You cant even carry a open bucket of water without it sloshing out even if its 3/4 full.

Now in my neck of the woods I could see some good old redneck boy using one but in WDC? Lol who would have thunk. Lol

These guys are no different than good old red necks. They aren't exactly executives down on K Street. Daron would have been desperate to get things done in the fastest way possible.

I want to know motive for the crime (not our guesses, but DW's motive), and I want to know how DW arrived at the house. There are other questions, of course, but those are my top two.

I have a feeling this will end in conviction but we still won't know the answers to many questions.

And don't gas stations have rules about containers that can be used? What gas station would allow gas to be dispensed into an open bucket??

jmo

Most gas stations don't pay any attention to what is going on at the pumps. They drove there in a vehicle and paid for gas probably ahead of pumping. Not too hard to put it into a bucket rather then the tank.

Robbery. Pure and simple.

The more Darrell talks, the more upset I get.

Me too. I'm not happy with the prosecution on this. He knew darn well DW was hiding something and I don't buy that line about "not trying to be into people's business," either. Maybe they can't make a case, but they should charge him with aiding and abetting some kind of crime. I don't understand why they put him on the stand and now that he's testified, I'm upset he isn't charged with something.

All so true but like Nancy Grace has said often..'many times you will have to find your witnesses who are not Mother Teresa or Mr. Rogers in order to bring justice for the victims' paraphrasing

One thing is for certain and that is that DW was in the house of S.S., the C.E.O. of America Iron Works, where he was fired and then rejected two more times over the years to work there.

So, to me, it was more than robbery. There was a grudge factor. A simmering grudge factor. A grudge held by a man who demonstrated extreme violence. A man who attacked the same victim while awaiting the trial for the first time he attacked him with a knife.

D.W. didn't let go of grudges. He proved that.

In my opinion.

Wint will never give up why and how he did all of this.

And yes..we can only guess the motive.

But I firmly believe based on how severe they were killed in an extremely overkill way it goes far far deeper than just a home invasion robbery.

Yes ITA a simmering grudge held by an unhinged, violent, dangerous predator. Robberies are not uncommon sadly, but rarely is the target’s innocent 10-year old little boy skewered and set on fire. And the target’s wife bound and beaten with a bat until her head is scraped down to the skull.

Sorry to be so graphic but this case turned my stomach three years ago in a way that never unturned.

Just the other day on here, looking at pics of the S home - seeing it before the crime, windows intact, happy family growing older together inside - brought up dread and dispair. There was that panicked urge to warn someone, do something, anything at all, to stop this atrocity from coming to pass. It’s just a mental reflex, the mind recoiling in horror from a reality it can’t accept. There’s nothing anyone can do, no one could have done anything - except DW.

The thought that DW put them in that situation, held them there, saw them in their state of need, and did what he did ...... truly disgusting. At least DrrW got that part right, that vile beast is a shameful stain on humanity.

I think the motive was robbery, with a side of grudge factor. DW was desperate and needed money. I'm pretty sure that Savvas had to have been the richest person who DW had ever met in his life. DW lacked consistent employment, so maybe his time at AIW was one of the high points of his own life. I don't think DW associated with Savvas outside of work, but I'm sure workers at AIW talked about the amount of wealth their boss had. He lived a life DW could only dream about. He was fired from AIW and tried to get his job back at least 2 times. I'm sure he harbored resentment about that, and then in 2015 when he was running out of options including his own family, he went for the richest target he could think of to try to find a quick solution to his life's woes.

If you are following #MansionMurders trial and were looking for a picture or video of Darrell Wint. He got an escort out a door the public is not allowed to use. Court security did the same thing with Steffon Wint. Neither brother has been in witness protection.

This crime, is not uncommon. There are several books filled with similar crimes, involving hyperviolence and hypercriminality, and shockingly, a trend to ignore and "excuse" these crimes and not disclose them. The books are- Dont Make The Black Kids Angry, by Colin Flaherty, Into The Cannibals Pot, by Ilana Mercer, and White Girl Bleed A Lot, by Colin Flaherty.
